Odin-----> This is the latest Odin.
7z -------> Or a equal program cause you need to extract the md5 file.
Samsung Drivers------------------------>
Samsung Updates/Firmware---------> This is the latest software for all Samsung phones.
I535VRALF Direct Download----------> Same as Samsung web site.
With the things you need downloaded you are ready to get started. "NOTE" This will put your phone back to complete stock. This means your baseband(radio), recovery,bootloader. I STRONGLY RECOMMEND doing a factory data reset before,if you can,and after the process's. So always make a backup with your data files using your favorite backup tool. Now on with the good stuff. To get into 'Download Mode" on your phone , use the following key combination with your phone off, hold Volume up + home button + Power button. You will see a screen come up that says blah blah blah Verizon this and that. Just hit the continue button, the volume up button. Now plug in your phone. You will here a connection sound and Odin will say "Device Added" If you are not seeing your phone added, check your drivers and try a battery pull and repeat the steps. Odin comes with everything you need checked and the settings are where they should be, DO NOT alter them unless, otherwise stated . This is another important "NOTE" you will be always be using the PDA button. DON'T EVER USE ANYTHING ELSE THEN PDA ,unless stated by another DEV in a thread. The below picture gives you a general idea of what your setup will look like. The com number may differ, don't worry about that. If you have multiple users on a computer you might want to right click on Odin and run as administrator . Before you choose your file you must extract it. The file you download is a MD5 file you must use 7z to extract the tar file. I recommend for the first time put the .tar file on your Desktop ,then put it in a safe place. Next choose the box next to the PDA section and browse for your file. Once you have it loaded and you are ready to flash it , make sure that your connection to the phone is good ,put it on a flat surface. Now you are ready to start, just go ahead and start and it will take a while , sometimes it can take 10 min or 30 min, this depends on your computer and other variables. Don't run programs in the background or stream music . Let Odin be the main program. It might seem like it is hanging , be patient , it will finish. Don't ever pull the plug out when flashing this can cause a perma brick. After it finishes as i said before do a factory data wipe. You will be stock just like you got it and be ready to start all over again. You must remember you will need to root again and unlock your bootloader ,if you like. Hope this helps some of you and happy flashing.
