How do we unhide the mobile hotspot?

Take this from 1.8 build and replace app in /system/app

One thing I have always liked about Nova is that it can import your previous launchers setup (widgets and shorcuts in the same place). That is a pretty awesome feature.

Also, you can edit the app drawer button to have a gesture. I do just that and set it to launch Google Now. So now I can swipe up from the app drawer button to launch Google Now. Kind of similar to Jelly Bean and gesturing the home button.

In older versions of Flick I was able to just put the desired OC file in the Init.d directory, change the permissions to match that of the other files in that directory, delete UV, and reboot. However, since Flick 3.0 this has not worked reliably for me. I've always managed to get OC working but it has taken trying a number of things to the point that I am not sure which step finally got it working aka the shotgun approach.

Since Flick 4.0 I have tried a different tack which has been working reliably. Using Root Explorer I select the UV file and the text edit option, Then I just change the 1200 line to 1325 and it's related voltage I bump to 1.399V, save it, and reboot. I am sure any file manager that will let you open and edit a file will also work, it doesn't need to be Root Explorer.

I'm pretty stuck on Go Launcher so your choice of Apex or Nova doesn't matter so long as I can freeze your chosen one and still use Go.

I simply delete Apex after updating Flick.

I make it easy by putting it in /data. ;)

Just an update on the Exchange issue. Last night I updated to 4.8 and set everything up very slowly to try and pin this issue down and I have not ran across it again. I am guessing that I restored something with TiBU that I shouldn't have and it was referring back to the stock side app somehow and screwing it up.

On another note, what widget does everyone use for favorite contacts with Apex? I really like the favorites widget that is used with the Moto homescreen.

I just pull out my favorite contacts as direct contacts & make a folder on the home screen. Works the same.

The reason why I don't like Nova cuz the way the icons are spread out on the desktop. I tried to get it look like apex but no luck. Unless Im doing something wrong. I do also bought the pro version when it was on sale for 99 cents :)

I've used Apex forever. I noticed ADW just came out with a major update. Is it viable or too "fat"?

Good rom overall. I have a data issue with the 4x release, I live in the country where 3G and 1X both run in the high 90's or low 100's. When the release is first flashed 3G locks and stays primary, but during the day after intensive data activity I lose the 3G lock and revert to 1X.. Checking dbm levels shows swings in the levels between 1X and 3G when 1X has remained the lowest level for a period of time the lock is on 1X. Even when 3G regains the best level, the data channel will not relock on 3G. The only solution found for this problem has been to reflash the release from a backup.
Evolution holds the 3G lock regardless of the level swings.

Edit:
Evolution fails in a similar fashion, it just takes longer for the failure to occur. Reflash corrects the problem on both.

The sdcard-ext home was the coolest!!! But it is gone in 4.80. Back to sdcard home....

Is that something that can be altered before installed? What about not wiping? Would that keep the home on the sdcard-ext?

That should answer your question. The same thing, but in reverse to get sdcard-ext as primary.

Edit: Added to the FAQ for others.
