I've been getting pretty decent battery life myself, I havent tweaked Byte's scripts or anything and i get about 8 hours of play time on the xt912...i'n ALWAYS showing people flick and the phone just keeps going and going.

I have finished my framework modifications, other then themeing. I plan to get in depth with the theme this release, differentiate the ROM from others little bit more.

What has happened in this release:
Framework optimizations:
Memory management tweaked(services.jar)
Scrolling cache disabled(framework.jar)
Disabled some sort of database caching(framework.jar)
Made all volume steps 15 except Bluetooth and music which are thirty(framework.jar)
Found vsync in framework.jar, but it's a build.prop tweak - maybe be taken out for final release
Apps:
Added my own custom configuration to Beats Audio

A slimdown of running processes
Tweaks:
Testing hotplugx as the CPU governor

TODO:

Theme:
Root Browser Lite
AOSP Messaging
Settings

Change wallpaper to something more Google
Cooler boot animation
Font changeups
Some lockscreen stuff
Some other stuff

Apps:
Make Downloads and Google Search hidden apps
Replace AOSP Calendar with Google Calendar if it is more resource efficient
XML cleanup in a whole bunch of apps

Add in:
Smart Actions
AOSP Contacts
AOSP Phone

Update:
Superuser and binary
Google Music
Busybox

I REALLY WANT YOUR SUGGESTIONS!!!!!!!!

Font changeups

I think that it is not necessary to change fonts, because it's a matter of taste. Many people may not like.

I really want to try your firmware! But when I read about Vsync, then decided to wait :) Or to use VSync recompilation is not necessary?

Is AOSP phone and contacts an advantage over current applications?

Probably a really stupid question but I have no idea. I don't know how to overclock. I downloaded the file I wanted and placed it in the folder as described, and making sure to delete the UV file, but still not overclocked. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I love this ROM so I don't want to sound like a complainer, and just giving my two cents. Just personal preference but I like things dark. I would like to see more things darkened

you cant keep everyone happy. Therefore, keep the rom the way it is regards the theme and have a theme update in the theme section. Once you get a finished rom that you are comfortable with, the themers can start theming. otherwise, you're gona go crazy with all the requests. My 2 pennies :)

MAJOR facepalm! (to hide my red face)
 :(
All I had to do was uncheck "Force GPU rendering" in the developer options!
Now Quickoffice is lookin' fine, my apologies for the red herring!

Sent from my continually born again RAZR MAXX!

Thank you for this. I have an app that I could no longer read until I unchecked this box. Does anyone know what "Force GPU Rendering" even does?

Honestly the only thing missing from this rom is the actual "reboot" option when you hold the power button....It's pretty annoying having to turn off the phone, wait and then turn it back on. Other than that I see no need to add anything except maybe that vsync you have been jabbering about ;)

I agree that this ROM is just about perfect. The only issue I have is the new battery icon. These old eyes can't read the % power available with the current display without my glasses. This issue certainly isn't going to drive me away from the ROM. To be honest, I've tried flashing about 5-6 different ROMs and each time I come back to Flick! Is there a way that I can change the power icon to one that shows just the % with blue for drain and green for charging? I don't want you to change this as it seems everyone else likes the current method of display but I just hate putting on my reading glasses every time I want to see the power %.

Bytecode, you've done a terrific job and your response has been great, can't wait to see what you dream up next!!

@Bobvs57- There is a thread in the theme section by Superrelaxx that has alternate 1% battery mods. Pay close attention to the signal icons available. If you choose one that is similar to Flick it will work. If you choose one that is not similar the toggles will disappear. The good thing is if you choose the wrong one you can just go back and flash the correct one..it does not mess up the Rom itself. But just in case you might want to make a backup before flashing..

Bytecode, do whatever you want in your next release, I no longer have any specific requests!! :)

Hey Byte, i found 2 things i would like to see in a future rom. Screen shots in the power menu, and the sound option to mute dying battery sounds (;

Decided to not use Vsync, just because there are too many people who would leave for other "higher benching" ROMs. <_<

Benchmarks are stoopid. :D

I also like things dark, but I don't want to become a Black Widow, which I think goes a bit far in blacking things out.

Indeed, I don't like the low battery sound either. I'l see if I can look around and turn it off. Screenshot in the power menu = hard...

No idea :D

But it's AOSP, so it must be better!

All AOSP things are simple. But simple not always is better. For example, I hate AOSP alarm clock because it hasn't timer and first of all it hasn't increase volume settings! But Moto stock alarm clock contains all off this items. So if you have stock deodexed apk could you share it? :)

About vsync. To use it we need recompile framework or just only set the option in build.prop?

I would agree, some Moto apps are much more functional then AOSP... but they don't look as pretty!

Vsync is just a build.prop tweak, so all you gotta do is add the line. I found it in the framework though.

There is a Deodexed .215 from Kebob. You can pull the it from their; I think it's called DeskClock.apk. :D
