I have to say, I'm either having wild placebo or this Vsync makes everything buttery.
I have changed up some strings, I tweaked how the system handles auto rotating, should lag less, I've gone into a lot more apks to edit and change them.
General system optimization...I've done A LOT more then that; but that's all you guys get for now.

I just added my own personal Beats Audio configuration into the presets menu.

Will you be putting out another release with Vsync? BTW, I still can't install SkySafari. I tried the Titanium Backup trick a previous poster mentioned - installed Sky Safari on the base ROM; backed up app and data on the base ROM with Titanium Backup; switched to Flick 1.8.1; installed Titanium Backup; attempted to restore SkySafari - and it failed. I left it "restoring" all night before I gave up and powered down the phone. I also tried the restore with the overclock removed, but no difference.
Is there a way to remove included apps? I use the Jorte calendar, and I see the included calendar app runs. I'd like to take it out, and maybe some others, but don't see a way to do it.
Finally, while I have your attention, a suggestion: I read the change log and see you did a lot of work. But in some cases, you added a feature I wanted (e.g. the charging LED) but then took it out because it was annoying. I suggest that rather than removing some of these features, you create an options section where we can enable or disable them. Obviously you want to remove a feature if it causes problems or doesn't work, but for these aesthetic things, give the user the option.

I most likely will release the next version with vsync, I might make a flashable zip with for you guys to test it out.
Try a normal install from the market, I have had situations where TiBu hangs on certain apps.
Yes, go into /system/app with a root file browser and delete Calender.apk and CalenderProvider.apk. Should get rid of all the processes that have to do with Calendar.
I would be happy to make the ROM so customizable! If I knew how to accomplish a feat such as what you describe I would EXTREMELY happy with myself! Not happening for a while, if ever. Not trying to sound sarcastic, just trying to describe how hard that would be.

A normal install from the Market is what failed in the first place and started me asking for help and trying work-arounds. Remember I said I would get the message about unable to install to sdcard or USB storage, even though it doesn't use either of those things.

You said you updated to Flick 1.8.1, where the large app installation problem is fixed. So try another normal install from the Play Store. See if it works.

Wipe cache, dalvik, reboot, try again; if that doesn't work try reflashing the Rom without wiping anything.
Trying both, still no luck

As I recall, when the latest versions of Sky Safari were released, there were some folks on a couple of other (newer) Android phone models that could not get the Pro version to load on those phones. Those with other (smaller) versions of Sky Safari were loading fine. The Sky Safari guys figured out what was going on and put a fix in their code since the affected phones were on their commercial ROM releases. It seems that BC may have made a subtle change in 1.8.x that causes the same basic fault here. However, I doubt you'll get the Sky Safari guys to take a look at a custom ROM issue.

I'm willing to test the new update

Needs more work.
I'm struggling to find things to do with this build actually... I don't really know what else to do, there's the reboot menu, but I have no idea what problems I'm having with that.

does anyone like this over droid hd if so why?
I'll be honest with you, I used to always stay on Droid HD. Both roms are smooth and stable but honestly flick has better battery life. Today is day 4 on with this ROM.

Honestly the only thing missing from this rom is the actual "reboot" option when you hold the power button....It's pretty annoying having to turn off the phone, ait and then turn it back on. Other than that I see no need to add anything except maybe that vsync you have been jabbering about
I use Romtoolbox lite for reboot. You can set up short cut for a reboot menu.

You may consider using reboot app from market, it's free, small and accomplishes reboot plus other features.

Bytecode, I have an odd complaint... I backed up Quickoffice from stock and restored it to flick, but now no text will show up whether typed in or pasted! The cursor moves, but nothing is left behind!
Please give me an idea, I don't like the aftermarket apps...

Bad backup? Try taking it from another ROM.
I might have taken out a dependency of Quickoffice.

this might be a ridiculous question but...is there any way of maybe getting the render fxcontrols/widgets i see in some other roms?
What ROM are you taking about?
