Byte just a heads up. dhacker said Kexec has bad battery life right now. You might already know.

this isn't kexec? And that's common knowledge?

Obviously I was talking about the poll. Try some common knowledge yourself.

I can confirm that the 1.8.1 update cures the installation problem for me. I tested out the problem by trying to download and install Words with Friends on 1.8 and it gave me the usb/storage problem. I just successfully installed it on 1.8.1 AND THEN IMMEDIATELY UNINSTALLED IT. :P

Thanks Byte! You da man!
My Razr is sharp thanks to Droidrzr.com, I will cut you with it if I must.

For my device yes. I get around 3200 with Droid HD. This one beat it :)

I just completed the TIBU reinstall of all the apps that wouldn't go on 1.8.0 and it worked fine. I am now moving apps to the SDCard from Phone memory using Ap2Sd and that works too. Thanks BC!

BTW: I also noticed that there is now no sd-ext folder. Was that part or all of the problem?

I've made two zip files using solid text battery icons images. I'm not positive they will work as I have not tested them since I'm not currently on this ROM. You can give them a try if you like. Just remember to make a backup before flashing! These zip files were made using the SystemUI.apk from Flick 1.8.0 so you shouldn't lose the Blur signal icons or anything else that was added in the newest version.

First is the solid text battery in ICS blue identical to the ones on the previous version of Flick, with stock ICS charging icons. Second is solid text battery in ICS blue, both while charging and discharging. One thing I don't like about the second version is there's no way to tell that your phone is charging (since they are the same icons used while the phone is discharging) unless you check the lock screen text.

Please make a backup before flashing. Wipe Cache and Dalvik Cache, flash, reboot.

Hope this helps. My apologies if this does not work.

Bytecode, if you feel it's inappropriate to add these files in your thread let me know and I will remove them.

Edit: Added solid text battery with green solid text charging icons identical to past Flick versions if anyone wants it.

Thanks for this efforts since I am not crazy about the current default battery icons either. I tried you're third one Solid_Text_Green_Charge_Flick. At first it threw me since I assumed it would just be solid green while charging and then solid blue while discharging. However, I noticed that while charging it alternates once per second between blue and green. Once I realized that this is the way it works and my charger didn't have a bad connection, this is OK. However, I noticed an issue while charging and watching the icons alternate between blue and green. They both were in agreement at 90% (which is where I started charging after installation). As I watched the blue icon increased as expected to 91, 92, 93, 94 but when it alternated back to green, the green icon continued to display 90. Is it possible that you didn't include the complete icon set for green needed to support 1%????

saw your post and I got curious. This ROM gives me the best score too. with arctic and simplex I was getting 3200ish region. Just tried it with this ROM and I got 3354, no OC =D. Well worth sticking around here and waiting for 1.8.1

Since this ROM says test, I'd like to suggest to look into the auto brightness. It's off on my end. I'll be in my room and the screen will brighten up although the room is kinda dark. So far that's the only nothing I noticed. I'll test battery out today for day one :)
