I was merely making a statement regarding signal and reception.....not referring to you or the Rom ....someone should address it we are a big forum someone must have noticed it before.... I cant be the only one that has poor reception and data

Sent from my DROID RAZR using Tapatalk 2

I'm sorry, I didn't mean to seem angry... I just seemed as if you were relating the loss of signal to the ROM. No, I also get poor reception, and every carrier other than VZW gives better reception in our area, yet I'm the only one to notice in my family... Maybe somebody will make a huge FAQ on ROMs disambiguating everything, so people can learn what is really happening, what can change, and what the effects are.

I get drop data with all the roms. 4G signal will turn white then disappear and takes 30 seconds to come back. I doubt its the rom but the network in your area

Weather related maybe? I'm on Simplex and here in MA for the last week it's been nothing but rain and cloudy weather, my singal has been all over the place. Going from full 4G to low 1X and everywhere in between constantly.

Until last week I would have said that is crazy, but this week, the area I'm working in has horrible reception for data and phone signal. Lately I've notice that on windy days I have terrible reception but on calm days, its much better. As for data, 4G will drop completely until I toggle airplane mode then it comes back and I have to stay in one spot (in my work truck) for it to last. When I get out and move around it will drop almost every time. Strange. Its done it to me on Flick and Droid HD so its not the ROMS in my opinion.

I don't think it's rom related, because I've used multiple roms and bad weather here I get spastic signals.

Hey loving the update so far!

I got a favor to ask everyone running flick. I just made a new post to PIMP MY ROM, a flashable zip over at xda, (I put link in the thread) and I would like to see how it goes with Flick 1.4.5 if anyone is willing to try it out before me :D

I looked at that zip yesterday, coincidentally! i tried looking through it, but it was just very disorganized! Needs a huge revamp in terms of organization!

Edit: But no, I did not try it out, sorry.

Hye Byte code,
Nice ROM but the memory management still needs work.
If you run a few apps you will eventually slow to a crawl due to low memory.
I had Cool Tool running and saw available memory steadily drop until it fell below 30 MB at which point the phone became so unresponsive that a tap on notifications took almost 30 seconds to respond.
Keep up the good work but I would suggest working the memory issue before adding more feature.

I plan to use V6 Supercharger values in the next version, should help a lot.

Thank you for your feedback! :D

Lol.
I'm actually really mad, I just found out that one of my friends lost his place in WCS because of some maphacking BS I know for a fact he didn't do. This update is going to take a while, this framework stuff is beating me up. Specifically long press for music track skipping.

Brother.... I would much appreciate if you can somehow improve memory management. I LOVE! I mean LOVE this ROM (Still on 1.3.1) but the phone hangs almost on a daily basis and a forced had boot is the only way to get it back. As always, I am very grateful for this ROM and keep up the good work.

You can pull mms.apk with a dark background from another rom in place of the one in flick. I have a dark version I can post here later if its OK to do so, or pm me.

Sorry guys, but to things happening in my life and on here; I'm going to make one more big release and then I'm done for a VERY long time. I've worked on this and other related projects all summer and all the way into school, I'm just burnt out. I'm done with all of the criticism without a "Thank you", I'm done with hard work that I do without a "like" or a "Thank you" just a complaint. I'm not saying that all of you are bad, many of you are grateful for what all devs do for the community and like, donate and say thank you. Most of all, I'm done with frustration of doing this.

Build will include:
Volume rocker screen wake
Some more debloat
I'm unthrottling signal speeds from the services.jar - makes Mobile Networks in settings FC
Making the launcher harder to kill to reduce redraws
More audio steps to find just the right volume
Reboot from the long press menu
Disabled scrolling cache for smoother vertical scrolling
Disable charging LED
V6 Supercharger minfree and adj values
Blacking more stuff out
I'm going to work my butt off to get the freezes and lockups straightened out, will probably get help from another dev.
And whatever else I see fit to put in

TL;DR I'm making one more big release and than I'm done for a while.

Then I'm done for a while, I'll still be here to help you guys, I'll still post on the forum, but no more patches for a while after that.
But lets be honest here; will I still be developing? Yes. But will I post stuff? No.

I love doing this too much. :)

Thank you.

@bytecode- I do appreciate the all the hard work that you put in on this ROM. I ran it up until version 1.1.4 (still have a nandroid backup for when I need a stock based ROM for functionality). This dev business is brutal because of crackflashing. Everyone wants something different. Some want this and some want that. I am a regular here and follow all of the threads on a daily basis. One thing is for certain..you will never please everyone. I posted as much before on this thread..build what you want your ROM to be..help and support those using your ROM and the rest should take care of itself. With all of the ROM's out there I think everyone forgets that we have been given options Motorola didn't put in to their stock ROM's. I personally enjoy the toggles and options that come with a custom ROM.

A big thank you goes out to you from me!

I hope that things get better and ease up for you. I couldn't begin to know enough to do what all you devs do for the community in general. I've run your rom for awhile and really enjoyed it! A lot of times people don't realize the appreciation others have for them. Honestly, you should make your roms how you like, and how they please your tastes.
