Did you wipe when you upgraded? He changed some stuff in Smart Actions so wiping may be necessary for it.

OK. Let me ask a noob question. This may have been answered somewhere in here, but damned if I can find it. I just came from killer bean. Wiped everything including system. When I try to restore with TB, it's not showing any of my apps. I know everyone is in a flashing frenzy tonight, but please try to help a poor noob out. Oh yea, I'm using safestrap 2.1 if that matters.

You may need to re-direct TB to your sd-card directory....It usually backs up in the sdcard/titaniumbackup folder so open TB, click the menu button and go to preferences. Then find the "backup folder location" and make sure its looking where your backups are.

I loaded up 5.0 yesterday and it is fast! I did notice a few things...1. There are 2 email accounts. When trying to set up email it gives the options of two different types of email. One AOSP and the other moto. 2. When I press the power button the phone restarts. My screen will time out normally but if I long press the power button to get the power options it restarts. Just my observations so far. I haven't seen anyone else reporting the power button issue so I may try to reflash. I did all the wipes before installing the ROM.

Just did a full wipe and flashed to Flick 5.0. Here are a few issues I am having.

1) Installed Apex so be able to import my settings from Apex to Nova but can't get past the Start button on the Nova import.
2)Can't seem to update the SuperUser Binary version. Shows a blank space for the currently installed version when trying to update.
3)Tried to run Fix Permissions in recovery but didn't help with either issue.

Thanks to rnh Go to my apps in the market; then push the page to the left which will bring up all of the apps you have ever downloaded. Now scroll down until flash player shows up.Then download. This is the latest version which supports ICS. By the way, the ICS browser + will give you trouble free flash browser support with no browser control freezing as is the stock browser or quick ics browser. Both of these tend to malfunction after a flash video is played and have to be force stopped under applications to unfreeze them. This worked for me running Simplex have not tried it here yet flashing this tomorrow.

Flash can't be down//loaded on the market anymore. It shows but the link is gone. go to http:// helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/archived-flash-player-versions.html and download flashplayer 11.1 for android 4.0 (11.1.115.27)

having said that something was done to 5.0 so that the flash browsing is not quite as good on the ics plus browser as it was on previous versions of flick. When byte said he was thinking of instaling chrome I knew he was going to neglect maintaining whatever was needed to keep flash browsing up to par on 5.0. Flash is a major item that sets google apart from the rotten apples!

I apologize if this has been asked before...
The only thing I am missing is a flashlight toggle in the pull down toggles. I am surprised this is only an issue for me. How do you people use the bathroom at night?

Try widgetsoid, it lets you add anythig as a pulldown toggle. very nice app.

I installed widgetsoid, and indeed it does do the job. But, am I right in thinking that the existing toggles can't be removed? Or if so how do I do that?

Byte! You did it again, this ROM is killer! I am having no issue so far and everything is running like silk. By the way the battery life improvement has been really noticeable in just one day.

What is your battery life?
I have clean install of flick 5.0, and have now 17hrs on 1 charge, 40% battery left, 2.5 hrs of screen time.
Not maxx.

I would appreciate it if anyone can come up with a way to get Verizon's Visual Voicemail to work. It is handy for work and since I pay for the service, I would like to get it working. I have tried installing it, pulling it from a nandroid backup off another rom, Nothing I do will let it install for me. Any help is appreciated.

Byte is going to post a script that will do away with the pull down toggles.

Heres one I haven't seen mentioned. Im in a 4g area and have always connected to 4g from the day I got my phone. If Im on wifi once I turn it off I stay on 3g no matter where Im at. I have to turn my data off for a few seconds then turn it back on. I immediately go back on 4g. Has done it several times over the last two days, this was never a problem in 4.8 or any other rom Ive used.

Also its been awhile since I used Smart Actions, but I want to set up a rule when wifi is on data is off. In my rules section the airplane mode and cellular data tabs are blacked out. Is this something new?

Edit: I hope its ok but I froze the smart actions in this rom and pulled the apk from the stock rom and installed that. I was using the rules on stock and it worked fine.

You will need a file browser and text editor, I use ES File Explorer so I recommend that. Open ES then settings --> Scroll down to Other Settings --> Root Settings --> Check All boxes --> Go back to main screen.

Navigate to /system/build.prop --> Open with ES Note Editor

Under # System property for Security Middleware Component change ro.HorizontalBUA=false

Under # Additional_Build_Properties change ro.HorizontalBUA=false and ro.HorizontalVVM=false

Menu --> Save --> Reboot Phone
