I'm digging the latest kexec aokp build 10-3 (that works with ss2) from hash with cobalt theme. When I need camera I switch to unsafe side rag3 v2. Course this should be a lot easier with ss3 and twrp sexiness.

I've put 4g kexec through it's paces and so far.... I'm impressed.

FYI SSv3 is making progress. Hashcode has been working on the "delete" function. It is what allows you to delete a rom slot you built. Obviously this is a good thing because it allows you to make space and also remake a slot if you realize you need more or less storage memory for that particular slot (remember I told you that you will have the option to choose between 1 - 4 gigs per)

When I posted my first post about it I was given v3.01 So obviously he has been putting in a lot of time and effort because Hash just sent me v3.03

The more I use it the more I like it. Having the ability to switch roms in a matter of seconds on reboot is amazing. For those of you who never actually use their unsafe side because of the time it takes to switch in v2.XX you will now. Also having the ability to install and test up to 5 roms (4 + stock) is amazing.

I'll check in again soon with another update

I know that TeamHaters has current CM9 and CM10 compiles, and I want to say JB-AOKP too, so they're going to be current as well (provided they're updating those ROMs, I haven't checked for a bit)

Thanks for the info brother... Always looking out for us :-)

Can't wait for public release. Thanks for the update. I almost wish I didn't know it was coming though since I hate knowing things exist but not being able to play with them. :(

Hell yeah that truly is one of the best parts. Also the ui is laid out so much better than cwr (no offense to Koush)

When you select wipe it has data system cache and dalvik all together and it's very fast

Yeah I know I am the same way but I wanted to give you guys something to look forward to :-) also if you are running and Ics aosp rom right now as your DD it would not work for you anyway so it's worth the wait.

Hashcode retrofitted ssv3 to flash and run old roms... You should see him push it out really soon

Hey everyone Hashcode will be Beta releasing Safestrap v 3.04 in the next couple hours. He has asked me not to create a mirror (for logistical reasons). So below is a link to where he would like you to download it from, his blog. Also on his blog will be release notes and instructions.

Please Login or Register to see this Hidden Content

If you run into a problem or have questions please come back here. Myself and Freddy0872 will be able to help you much quicker than if you try to ask Hash himself. Both of us have been using and testing SSv3 for Hash so we know it very well now.

Also this is a whole moto platform release so Hash won't have time to help 6 different phone communities at once so I want to help keep the Bionic Community running smoothly.

Thanks,
Obsidian

just to clarify, how do we switch from ss2.11 to ss3.0.4? just go to unsafe, remove ss, then install the new one?

Ill be on Google talk always. I've got it up on my phone and nexus 7 as well.

Gtalk: fredsinzjr

This is a huge step for all of us! Probably one of the greatest/coolest/most awesome things I've tried yet!

Yes GO TO UNSAFE SIDE and uninstall and delete safe strap dirs that u see on ur SD card and ext SD. U must start fresh. Your stock side or unsafe will be just fine. Nothing will happen to it. Basically follow my guide to uninstall SS and install BS . Just stop at the BS part cuz ur gunna be installing a new apk for SSv3 :-)

There's also instructions in the link for 3.04 that are simple and easy to follow.

The only thing I would add is that to create a slot, you have to enter "Boot Options" and select the slot you want to create to get it to prompt you to create it (Perhaps 3.05 could have a visual indicator of whether slots exist or not? I know, already asking for new features!)

I read you can nickname your slots-so then you'll know, (now or later) the nickname will append the backup name.

You guys are going through what I went through a couple days ago :-)

There will be growing pains and some light updates but I think he really thought this one through and put in the work.

The best part is that he can update the whole line of them really easily so we'll see many more updates than before.
