AliasAOKP v0.2

This is a ROM based off of dhacker's ICS-LEAK AOKP 7/25 build. There have been a few modifications.

The point of this ROM is to clean things up a bit. There are themes, improved animations, and performance options.

Changes in v0.1:

• New GApps with Google Now
• Editied backup scripts to save Google Now on each flash
• 5 colored themes for the Theme Chooser (courtesy of Ricardo Cerqueira)
• Removed the crappy Achromatic theme
• Replaced Nova Launcher with Apex Launcher (personal preference, install what you want)
• Removed Launcher2
• New hosts file (winhelp202's July 3rd, 2012)
• Added MyVerizon and LoginClientUI
• Upgraded Play Store
• Upgraded Superuser App
• Faster rotation animations (best I can do about the rotation bug. It's a kernel/display problem)
• Removed the ugly gradient in the system menus
• Extra kernel modules (Change these under ROM Control > Performance)
• More verbose installer to show you what's going on during flashing
• Battery warnings at 10% and 5% instead of 15% and 4%

Changes in v0.2:

• Fixed Performance settings app crash
• Fixed typo in updater-script
• Added correct Verizon Login APK
• Slowed rotation speed

Install instructions:

• If coming from another ROM (Including the original AOKP), wipe data/factory reset and wipe /system.
• Install AliasAOKP_v0.1.zip.
• Install ICS-GApps-GNow-v6.zip (You MUST use this version of the GApps!).
• Reboot into your new OS!

If there is an updated version of this ROM, you will not need to reinstall the GApps/GNow. A modified version of dhacker's script will save it for you.

I tried this ROM for a while but face a wakelock problem. Maybe its because Google Now being constantly waiting for voice command.
Sadly I forgot to take screenies before I change ROM

Thanks for copying this over.

I'll resume this project soon, though I have other things in my life that I need to attend to. There are plenty of bugs, and for that reason I would suggest flashing one of the fine ROMs by JP or SPJESTER. They're doing good things.

Thanks for all the hard work on this. Really liked the ROM, except for the alarm clock turning off the phone in the middle of the night. Tried running both stock clock and an app (Gentle Alarm). Happened with both of them. Can't wait for you to get back to work on this!

Sweet Rom, Love the theming and the feel. But it is very sliggish and slow. I am overclocked to 1.0 still with lots of Lag. If i am inside of Facebook, Or an App and hit the home button, it takes forever for the home screen to load up, all that shows is the App menu Icon, than the homescreen slowly fills in with my apps and weather widget. Anything i can do to speed it up?

This was a big problem. However, I am no longer supporting this ROM, especially due to how old it is. My recommendation is top not use this at all.

Once true jelly bean is released, I might redo this one, but for now, stay off!
