Just got my new 2013 nexus 7 and realized they sent me the LTE one when I ordered and paied for the cheaper one without LTE. So I'm thinking if I can somehow get the LTE working on my Verizon account that would be cool. I don't want to pay extra for it but if there is a way to do it for free without them knowing I figure why not. Anybody know how?

Will that work i actually thought about trying that? Can't do that permanently because i need my phone working but if it works it can come in handy.

Since we wouldnt support doing anything illegal here, I think the only legal option is Gytole's suggestion.

It's going to require an active SIM card regardless. Why not just use wifi hotspot?

Installing the Sim from my phone works. I do agree wifi is my best option but it's good to know I have this alternative like in situations a few months back I was in the hospital a few days after surgery and they don't have wifi. Funny thing Verizon sees my tab as my phone with the Sim installed.
