So recently I thought it was a good idea to reflash my phone to factory while containing an unlocked bootloader. In the process I lost my root, and my backup. I am now trying to root my phone once again, and I have found a thread
BUT all the term seem like jargon to me, I have no idea what to do, and I require a step-by-step walkthrough. I have rooted my device previously, but at the time my bootloader remained locked, and I had an older kernel.I have attempted to use motochopper, but due to the fact that my bootloader has been unlocked I believe that it has become the reason that the supersu binary is not being installed.
So I really need a full step-by-step instruction manual, if you do not know how to root the xt926 when the bootloader has been unlocked, a way to relock, or make the system believe that the phone has a locked bootlader would be great. very welcome as-well.
Thank-you in advanced.

I can't root like a normal person, due to the fact that that I had unlocked my boot loader, and motochopper refuses to install the binary.

I'm sorry, but, you're wrong.. Root and unlocked bootloaders have nothing to do with each other. At all. You said you don't know enough to install custom recovery, therefore I gave you a link to a one click root method that will work for you. Why would I waste my time and yours posting a response that wouldn't work?

I hesitate to say this next part....people get so easily offended these days. But I'm going to say it anyway. Rooting a phone when you don't know the basics of adb/fastboot/recovery/FXZ....it's not a smart thing to do. It's very easy to break something with root. It gives you full control over your device. Remove the wrong thing, change the wrong thing, and suddenly your phone won't boot. If you haven't take the time to learn basic concepts like fastboot and adb and FXZ's, you're then going to be in panic mode because your phone won't boot. That is not the proper time to learn about these things. Root can be dangerous in the wrong hands. Please consider what I'm saying here. It may prevent you from bricking a perfectly good phone and/or being able to recover it should you do so.
