I have to replaced LCD/Digitizer assembly on a xt1060 and cannot find one anywhere. Thought I'd ask here if anyone knew of one. Looks like I'll be trailblazing again...

Are you replacing the entire digitizer/lcd/glass assy???  If so, let me ask you how much you paid for the replacement?

I am doing a glass only replacement on one. Pita. They sent me the wrong glass. I asked the question because I found that you can have moto replace the LCD/digitizer/glass assy cheaper than you can buy a replacement assy. Sent From My DEV X

Sorry it took so long to answer. Most of the "Glass Only" repair parts, in most of the newer phones you see for sale, are complete scams. You have to replace the entire assembly, I don't care what you're told, or what video you see. Any shop that does this is scamming you too(And this is most of them). I don't care if they have the fuser machine; They're still using the two sided tape to seal the unit to a mid frame and chassis and the fusing is never even close to the factory fused part.

There are no "Good" Shortcuts. There's a right way and a wrong way to do this. The ONLY Right Way is Have a REAL Pro order the REAL OEM Part(Very few of us left) and put it in, or send it back to Moto and have them do it. Moto MAY take up to 2-3 weeks to get it back to you, but may be half the price. I've heard them do it in a week, but I have also heard of them taking over a month, or losing the phone. Any other way is WRONG. Most of the parts and assemblies you see on Ebay  and Amazon are Chinese Knockoff parts. They can not work the same as OEM and can even short your MoBo; I've seen it all in the 21 year I've been in the industry. Don't put a $5 part in a $400-600 phone. I could go on for pages, but I'll end my rant here...sorry.

Btw, to answer my OP, I trailblazed(As I often have to). I don't know why I didnt get the email update to this thread after I subscribed to it, but I figured it out. Looking over the tutorial link posted, I think I remember there were some steps left out; as there usually is in these online tutorials you see. Thanx anyway.
