Not sure if it's just me but the proximity sensor doesn't turn off the screen when in call and holding the phone to my ear. Kinda seems like all sensors are messed up. Full wipe, 1-27 rom with 1-23 pa minimal gapps, and aaarggghhh's kernel.

I have seen this problem also and a redownload seems to fix it but I'm going to be putting out an update shortly so u might as well wait for that

I have not tested any other kernel with this ROM I suggest just using the kernel that comes with the ROM it has been optimized for this rom

Just got back from a conference.  Has anyone tried recording video?  It looks like it records, but when I went back to play the video later it shows video and has sound. there is a high loud pitch on top of it.  Very annoying and can hardly hear what I was trying to record.

That has been a problem across all aosp ROMs for a while now. Drives me crazy too and it doesn't seem like anyone has found a fix

You sure? Try recording something real quick then play it back with the volume all the way up.

When I do that it makes my brain want to explode. Worse than nails on a chalkboard

You're right... It did it this time. I use Focal... But I recorded a video literally three days ago and it was fine, even used it for a website. Now it seems to have that weird beep. Maybe a glitch in an update? Isn't PA on AOSP also? Never had an issue in that either...

In case anyone is as neurotic about aesthetics as me, I recreated the original lockscreen lock icon and made a png out of it. You can change it under the lockscreen options in settings, looks pretty legit.

The update has under the hood upgrades to make things faster and smoother....... I haven't gotten the ota hooked to my builds as of yet I'm working on it though

Seems to have worked just fine for me. Just wipe your dalvik cache and reinstall your gapps :-)

Can someone post where you can download all the available 4.4 kernels for the xt926? Maybe there is already a repository bit I have just missed it if so.
Current consumer, but hopefully one-day purveyor, of high quality moot products.

That's the only one I know of. Cm11 kernel in the 5th post down. I'm pretty sure it has caused issues with this ROM tho as the kernel that is already built in is optimized for it.

The developers use the kernel that is best for their Rom. Stick with what they have, overclocking, underclocking, different governors and schedulers are minimal gain at best.

The arrrghhh kernel was updated 1-31-14 and no longer causes auto rotate/auto brightness issues.
