I've had this happen to me whenever I try to remove some system installed programs I don't used. I end up having to dirty flash again and it goes away.

The only system app i removed was Nova (using Apex)
I'll put it back and see if it makes a difference.
Seems my wallpaper goes back to default sometimes after the systemui crash issue.

OP updated, TWRP is fixed. No more black screen, and a few minor updates...still version 2.8.0.0. For both JBBL and KKBL
Edit: You have to go into settings and click restore defaults to get the black screen fix to work

Looks like I'll switch to Nova first, could be my dirty flashing... but no one's really had any issues with this ROM and flashing over to update so far. XPosed was having some issues but I just reinstalled the kernel no issues anymore.

I don't recommend dirty flashing. I always do a clean flash, every time I flash an update. I use Titanium Backup and backup my user apps and SMS/MMS then restore only messages and user apps. By the way, new build is coming out very soon for KKBL, the JBBL is giving me issues right now and I can't get it to build.

I haven't switched bootloaders either. May get around to that soon if need be. I guess I have to switch the bootloader and TWRP to go to the KKBL versions of the ROM. Are those files going to be available again soon? Or are there still hosting issues. What's better about the KK bootloader anyway? I don't need a brick any time soon. Don't have a backup phone at the moment.

Well, KK bootloader has no screen dimimng issues, and there is no glitch between the boot logo and boot animation to name a few things. If you would like to upgrade. Just follow my directions in the OP and you will not brick your phone. I see you have a HD so you can't use my zip file (it is for the Razr M) in the OP but I can link you to one for your device if need be, or you can FXZ with RSD Lite. And if you change bootloaders you have to use the recovery for that bootloader. Again, all directions are in the OP. Or PM me and I can help that way.
Edit: OP updated with links for your device

- Screen Recorder fixed

TWRP is also updated...again. The Black screen issue is fixed this time. All You have to do is go into recovery, go to settings and click "restore defaults". Then flash the updated version and then reboot recovery and go into settings again and click on "restore defaults". Then you can go back and change your settings back. (You HAVE to do the restore defaults before and after flashing it)

I'm on KKBL because i like to run what the ROM Maintainer is running.
I personally used the DROID_RAZR_HD_Utility_1.41 for my XT926 to get back and forth between JB/KK BL's twice with no issues. (FULL WIPES)
I haven't tried the the Zip file in the OP.

The zip works great for switching back and forth kk to jb bootloaders. It even flashes the correct recovery.I'm on KKBL because i like to run what the ROM Maintainer is running.
