Same thing happened to me. I restored as well.I got a good download acording to md5 and it flashed fine but just a blank black screen.. No kitstalk animation or anything. I've restored my backup.. Anyone else have this happen?

Nope. They are completely separate. Long story short, the boot animation was named 540.zip instead of bootanimation.zip so it couldn't play the boot animation. New build is being uploaded now, but with my speed, it's going to be a while before it is done.Just curious... Did this problem have to do with the possible screen dimmer fix?

I would have thought that would be the same as deleting the boot animation... Just get the default Android animation.. I might try reflashing and renaming it via adb and see what happens

Should be able to change it before u flash. just use an archive program to open it, rename the boot animation, then flash it. I use to edit build.prop before the unified builds as I use my m on net10 instead of Verizon.I would have thought that would be the same as deleting the boot animation... thats because the md5 isnt the same as what he posted. the one for the dl is fd8e4db4f6750469a385bd84843d07c7 when he said it should be 9f9e0fb04571451a8a7ec82d84a7d7d8
anyone got a link to the last one that booted?

ya i just checked the actual md5 of the file not the one on the host and it is what he says
