Please Login or Register to see this Hidden Content

Can restore both CWM and TWRP

Congrats man you have been upgraded. You should be able to post in the rom section now. You can start a new thread for this rom and do up the OP as you please. Then post the link in this thread and I will lock it.

i need to fastboot any recovery that will work. i have the phone in fastboot, i just cant remember what i do on the pc.

with the USB cable attached and USB debugging on (I forgot to mention that you will have to have debugging on for this to work) navigate to a folder that contains the following files: mfastboot.exe, AdbWinApi.dll, adb.exe, and the recovery image file that you are going to flash. Hold the shift key and right-click then select 'Open command window here'. At the command prompt type mfastboot flash recovery nameofrecovery.img (where nameofrecovery is the actual name of the recovery img that you want to flash)

Even if you were completely stuck, you can always use fastboot and RSD Lite to go back to stock. But no need for that because Philz will get you back to where you need to be.

I know the method I described should work. I pulled out of a pretty good 'soft brick' with this technique only I had to actually flash the entire system.img back to 4.1.1 stock and start over from there. Interestingly, you can't re-lock your bootloader if you end up having to do this. So: in short - we'll get you back up and running. It just may take some time.

twrp

and what version of TWRP? Anything less than 2.6.3.0 will not work well (or at all) for 4.3+ Roms

Sent from my DROID RAZR M using Tapatalk

EDIT: Didn't realize that there were three pages of help and guidance that my phone neglected to tell me of....I would like to know what version of TWRP you were on though... I have no issues (currently) with restoring TWRP nandroids after a clean flash of Kitstalk. As a matter of fact it's much quicker than any other restore process. And I've tried to restore data using TiBu but something always fails and its linked to Blue tooth pairings. No idea why, but I do not believe it's linked to TWRP... Can't figure it out..

I used to on the older builds. I'm on 20140429 right now and don't have any issues.
