So I'm getting mixed signals. I'm on 40404 and downloaded the most recent update. do I have to wipe everything and then install or can I just wipe cache and dalvik and flash? I hate restoring apps and stuff haha. takes forever.

 

You can try just doing a dalvik and cache but it could cause problems since so much has been updated. Before you do that download this

Also, we got a new setup going where a bot runs nightlies every other night for us. One just ran last night for 4-25 so it will run again for 4-27 then 4-29, ect, ect. SO in other words there wil be an update every other day

I actually have TiBu, it's just tedious haha. So with the nightlies, are those Okay to just dirty flash since they're smaller?

There are actual builds for the phone. Not exactly nightlies, we just got a bot to build them instead of us doing it manually. But unless the build number changes, there is no reason to do a full wipe. And if you do a batch backup/restore with TiBu its not tedious

This is NOT a request or requirement by ANY MEANS!! We are not requesting or asking for a single DOLLAR of ANY of your personal money, AT ALL…EVER! This is really, more-so an announcement and if anything.. a brainstorming session amongst us all to keep Drdevs alive in some way, shape or form!!

Come Mid-May or so… Drdevs.com will be officially out of the pre-donated funding by all of our users and supporters.

We're paid up through 2nd/3rd Week of May give or take a week (our host is apparently not a stickler ‘by the day’ type of deal, but trust me…June we’re DONE).

I personally have come to the reality that Droidrzr.com hasn't brought the “Benji’s” to the table as they once have. Especially as of our last fund raiser. I get it, times, populations and situations change. But the beneficiaries/users of your ROMs do remain the same regardless of your/their loyalty.

So with that being said, I will be more than happy to relax rules about where ROMs and such are posted.
And sadly, if we gain no support from the Droidrzr.com community on this fund raiser, I have already prepared to move our site (the build server and its domain name) to a new host if Droidrzr.com (the community) isn't going to support US anymore). This build box Can And Should live on regardless of Droidrzr.com support, sad, but true

HOWEVER!! I hope it DOES NOT come to this! We do so have to deal with what may become reality.

With this being said and regardless of Droidrzr.com: We NEED to raise funds for our beloved build box, rom-zip hosting, Jenkins Bot, CM stats Mysql-DB, Mysql-DB stats collector, (and future Gerrit server!!) And who really knows what else we all may develop this server into?! You all know I, tucstwo, am in for the long-haul

We all WANT SO MUCH to continue to offer all of these development features to you guys forever! I, tucstwo, honestly don’t know what I’d do with my free time if DrDevs.com was gone for good! I still certainly have so many awesome plans for the immediate future and I'm sure we can all dream up new and big plans for the DrDevs.com site (or whatever the future may bring!) We can all still grow and contribute to a new or better site! Whatever happens with Droidrzr.com, sadly happens but Drdevs will in some, way, shape for form…LIVE ON!!!

Possibly, I dont use arrrghhhs kernel anymore. Only time i noticed complete signal loss and wont come back util full wipe is using battery saver mode or suspend actions

Only way i know is to do a clean flash of the rom. New build will be out in the morning as the bot will start running at 3AM Eastern time.

Just a minor issue here, when installing the latest build (04-25) along with the mini pa gapps (clean install) I'm missing the torch app. The QS Tile does not work either. Is there an apk I can download to get that back? I miss the convenience of the flick of a thumb for light!

Hmm, I'm on 4-25 and use the micro gapps (even smaller than the mini) and the torch app is there. But our newest rom is 4-27, built early this morning. Was going to attach a screen shot but it's telling me site administration has disabled adding pictures.
