Yeah, I just got it after I tried a different checker. The one you use works great. The md5 checks out just fine. I dunno what's going on with the flash. I usually don't have the issues. Edit: still a no go. Everything else works fine, but the phone. com.android.phone keeps crashing. Tried to uninstall the apk and restore it, but the apk wouldn't take. I'll try and re download when I get something higher than 7.8kbs....Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Sorry to hear you are having such troubles. I'll try to get a new build out tonight.

Is any one else having issues receiving calls and texts after a clean flash?

SOOO I don't know what the deal is yet, but I've tried a clean install of the 4/20 twice (formatted everything except external) and both times, I am unable to receive calls or texts. Everything else works fine and I can even call out, but every time I get an incoming call my android.phone.process force closes. Any ideas?? Trying a fresh download to see if it resolves the issue.... TWRP 2.6.3 recovery.

I have the same exact setup as nprevette420 and everything is working great.  I always install using CWM 6.0.4.4 and perform all of the necessary wipes before hand etc, etc.  Just make sure you have the LATEST CWM - 6.0.4.4 as of this writing.  I've had issues before not using the latest version.

I would post a direct link but not everyone is using xt907. But here is a link for XT907 ONLY

Problem! I can send text messages and make calls but I can not receive anything but MMS messages. If somebody calls me it will say a process has stopped working and will do nothing if I get a text. I need this problem to be fixed soon! I absolutely love this ROM and I would dread having to change to anything else. Any help or information would be greatly appreciated:)

This is the same issue we were discussing above. I've been trouble shooting all day and it looks to me as if it has something to do with my data after I restore it. I have issues with both restored data through ROM Toolbox and through a TWRP nandroid. If I start fresh, everything works. When I restore my data, I lose the ability to receive calls and texts.

Edit: If I were you, I would revert back to the 4/6 update until I can figure out how to fix the issue. Unless you want to switch to CWM and start completely fresh with none of your data...

What are you restoring? I restore my user apps with no problems. I dont do the system apps though, well very few such as adaway and my keyboard. I restore my text messages (SMS & MMS), wifi access points, call log and all of my user apps. I dont do anything else. This is though titanium backup.

First of all, this is what I restore. Usually no issues:

  54.13KB   12 downloads

Secondly I also restored my "missing apps", which were all user apps. I believe the issue happened after I restored the missing apps, but I cannot confirm that.

  38.36KB   11 downloads

I also tried to download CWM, but the direct link brought up a page script and I couldn't get the download to start on the other link.

Lastly, while I do not mind switching to CWM, I do not believe that it will be the wisest choice as I know that there are quite a few people who use TWRP and would appreciate a solution other than changing recoveries. Plus, I have never used CWM and I'm familiar to TWRP. That's all I've ever used since safe strap.

Thank you nprevette420 for your hard work. I do appreciate it.

Edit: I may not be able to develop or code, due to being in a new location every two days around the US, but I assure you, I want this ROM to be the best it can be, and this is my way of "trying to help" :)

In my honest opinion i think cwm is better. Yes I'm sure some people are used to twrp and would like another fix other that switching recoveries. So i have a new build i will release tonight after i test it when i get off of work. Quite a bit got updated in the past few days. Hopefully this will fix the phone/texting errors. Thanks ytstud for the valuable input. By the way we have major plans for a new rom :) but that will be a while before we start on that.

Yes, another update.... Heads up its version 4.4.285. As far as our plans, all I'll say is that we are starting from scratch and making it completely our own instead of modifying another one like we do now. Going to be a while because we need to learn more on how to do it.

Really appreciate all the hardwork you guys have been putting in. New update is running smooth so far after 2 days.

I have a question though. It's not a big deal but is it possible to add an option to remove the battery icon completely. I'm not sure if it was an earlier version of this rom or another but I know I've seen that option before. I like to use the battery bar feature but I don't want to things giving the same info.

Thanks man. No there is no way ATM to remove the batery icon. I also like the battery bar but just run both. I think BeanStalk 4.3 had that option but it was removed in 4.4.

Okay, so I finally got 4.4.28 to stick after staying up until 2am troubleshooting, I was able to get the build to stick, but unable to recover all of my data. I was able to restore most of it with ROM Toolbox Pro, but every time I would restore Messages (DATA) which is all tied into the phone process, something would get goofed up. Either way, I restored all my user apps and app data using a combo of RTBPro and Google back up. Great build so far and hoping to download the new one today!

PS. I'm still using TWRP ;)

Hello everyone.  I would like to first state that though I'm not a "newb" to flashing roms to my android phones (last one was the HTC Thunderbolt) - neither am I an expert (maybe medium-newbish?).  I have the Verizon Razr M with 98.30.1 on it.  I understand that although i can root it, the bootloader cannot be unlocked.  I have rooted and installed safestrap and now I'm trying to figure out the modified instructions on installing your ROM.  Can someone with some experience help walk me through doing this via safestrap?

I have booted to safestrap recovery, created ROM-Slot-1, set it to active, and then tried to install your ROM from the external sd but every time I try this it immediately errors out with E: Error in /external_sd/ROMS/BeanStalk-4.4.278-20140420-moto_msm8960.zip (Status 6) followed by Error flashing zip xxxxxx.

Have I missed a step or is this just not possible using safestrap?

Thank you in advance for your help!

From the OP:

Requirements to flash:

An xt907 (you never can tell)

You must be rooted!

You must have an unlocked bootloader

and you must have a custom recovery (I personally like TWRP

I was under the impression that safestrap qualified as a custom recovery.  Is that not the case.  As I said, the phone is rooted.
