Make sure you get the third kernel...the one that says AnyKernel, the other 2 will cause bootloop

Hey guys, I know it has been a while since i have pushed an update but trust me we are working hard to bring you one soon. I want an update just as bad as you but we are still having trouble building for the Moto MSM8960. Not getting to technical, someone has derped up the kernel and builds will fail until they fix it, as we cannot. Sorry for the delay but there will be one as soon as the error is fixed. In the mean time just be expecting some cool updates when we are back up and running

I may be gullible...but I just want to clarify:

 

After updating to 4.4.275-20140406-moto_msm8960 on the Power Down menu when I select "Power Off" I get a dialog box that says "Self Destruct Mode"... "Your phone will self destruct" Cancel/OK

 

This is just someone being cute, right?  Selecting OK will really power down?

 

(A software self-destruct is a plausible and arguably useful feature...but I would like someone to confirm that "Power Off" really powers off...and not destructs.)

Lol, yes.... Just fun laughs. Your phone will not blow up, it will shut down. We edited more than just the shut down as you can see. Nothing to worry about, just changed what it says, not what it does

yes. I get FC in hangouts too. It's not every time I send one, but it happens more often than I like. I'm just waiting for the kernel fix so these awesome devs can resume their kick a$$ work on this ROM.

in the OP, download link sir. The build was built a week or so ago. They are working on even newer builds as we speak!

No you wouldn't want to install the factory one cause it might re-lock you bootloader (you definitely don't want a locked bootloader) So the devs will work in the new stuff in to the custom roms such as the new kernel (which will get rid of the glitch between boot logo and boot animation) and possibly a new way to unlock bootloaders that are currently stuck locked. Along with other upgrades.

And yes you are right (sort of) about OTA not working on unlocked. If you have custom roms installed you wont even be notified and if you are on stock and have removed any bloatware the update will not install. Anyways when it is finally released there should be a lot more development going on for our phone and the other moto phones that get the KK update

I didn't think it was possible for any update to re lock your boot loader... Lose root, but never relock...

I could be wrong, i thought i heard that somewhere though. But either way, who wants to be on stock verizon rom? Definitely not me... The day i got my razr m, i was rooted and looking for custom roms
