Latest jbbl build.

Running the latest build and it's awesome! Hats off to you sir. No issues to report from me. I'll post if I can find anything but it's looking real good. One thing though, I'm not completely sold on the new boot screen. I'm all for change and all but it seems a little cartoonish and does not seen to fit the suave nature (with a touch of fun) that kitstalk brings to the table. Just my opinion. Again good work.

Speaking of boot animations - I'd like an option for text based boot. I'd rather watch what is happening. Consider it a feature request.

New build is great, everything seems to be working well. Only thing I've noticed is that in the quick settings, the text under the camera seems to be bottom justified (as opposed to middle for the rest). Not really a big issue, but it stops me from using that tile because it really stands out.

 

Also, for all the people complaining about the new boot animation. I find it's easiest to change that using the "themes" portion of the settings, the L boot animation is a pretty nice change, and it takes <30 seconds to do the whole process (just don't apply the whole theme unless you want). That's what I had previously, but there are a lot of options there.

 

I'm also trying to figure out the difference between heads up notifications and hover. It seems to have some overlap between each other (similar to pie vs. slim pie); this isn't an issue - just wondering if anyone had an idea.

Rom works great as my daily. Everything that I need to work, does.

 

Unfortunately, I've been having issues getting vpn to work on Verizon's LTE.

1) LTE disconnects once I tried anything data wise

2) Causing app or VPN(via android settings) to disconnect

3) LTE reconnects

4) Vpn reconnects

Cycle continues every couple of secs, until I turn off VPN

 

I've read about the same issue occurring on multiple devices & vpn services, when using LTE. It works when I'm on 3G or wifi. I'm not sure if this is area specific, in NYC. I've tried SpeedVPN, Hotspot Shield, Hideninja, & Private Internet Access. Anyone else run into this problem?

I don't know if I'm in the right thread but I did ask about this before and I was told that the new ROM should have fixed the issue but my phone external sd card is not recognized.. But when I look and storage under settings it does show external sd card as untouched and my internal memory running very low. Does anybody know any possible answers to this I cannot move any of my app data to my sd card..

Apps to SD doesn't work in KitKat but with the fixes on custom roms you can download to and use your external SD card. You may need to format your internal and start fresh. I have a bunch of apps installed and have over half of my internal available. I would start fresh...minus your external SD card. Go into TWRP and go to Wipe -> Format Data -> type yes. Let it do its thing. Then Reboot recovery. Now go back to Wipe -> Advanced wipe -> (dalvik, data, cache and system.....three times) Now Instal KitStalk and Gapps and boot it up. YOu can backup any music,pictures,ringtones frominternal and move them to your external.

Not sure if it's the gapps package I flashed but anyone else on the newest jbbl build having issues with play movies crashing when trying to download to device? I have already uninstalled via tibu and redownloaded via play store. No go.

Yes - me to with the KK bootloader. Play movies is broken.

Just wondering if I have to wipe and "fix" my not broken internal drive to install? Never got past boot loader.... I wan a get back on this ROM

I'm experiencing a random bug with microphone.

 

Sometimes it stops working at the morning

Sometimes it stops working after few BT handsfree connect/disconnects

 

Full reboot fixes it. Soft reboot - don't.

 

Any suggestions?

I will look in to it. But I have had no issues with it. You did a clean install or dirty?
