Trying to help a friend out, and Im a total noob with this phone. Im pretty knowledgeable about my old sidekick and galaxys but this phone is new to me. He gave it to me bricked and stuck in safe mode? When I try to start it, it says safe mode enabled and then hit search to continue, I hit that and nothing happens. I hit menu and it will start into safestrap recovery which is an old version like 1.07v.
Ive tried to reROM the phone with one I found on here. It said it went on correctly but still no luck on any end. I posted for help on xda as well but no replies there. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks!

I feel like a total idiot I fiddled with it a bit turned off safe mode and it worked. I cant believe that was it. I cant believe he couldnt figure it out. I need to tell him to stop rooting phones.
