Just a guess, but I think the old tv 'static' you are seeing is a play on google beating out apple, there is an apple logo blinking with the static before google takes over....at least that was my take on it, and it shows on my bootloader image

Nobe1976 (year I graduated high school btw) - question for you.
I flashed your dark rom / gapps and cool is an understatement. BUT - as soon as I connect, gapps starts updating and I lose some of the dark gapps work you've done. Is there a way to prevent this from happening? I quickly go into Play Store and Settings and tell it NOT to update, but by that time, it is already cued up and I can't stop it. Should I flash the dark gapps again after seleting DO NOT UPDATE?
EDIT: Appears after restoring DARK, the only app that changed to LIGHT was hangout. Maybe I spoke to soon?

The one thing I do when I installed it fresh was skip the WiFi connections. PlayStore defaults to update over WiFi. If any of the themed apps from TBO get updated then I just go into the app settings and uninstall the update and the theme one returns back.

4 hours of screen on time with 1 hr of voice call time. Still had 25% left on the battery. Doesn't get much better than that! Great work on the ROM.

Thanks for your hard work on this rom, I have been running it as my dd for a few weeks now, and the latest update is great. I have one question, is there a way to convert the navibar keys back to the more traditional style (an apk perhaps). The new ones are sleek and very cool, but for some reason, I just keep forgetting which is which. I know by now I should just know by touch, but it's just a brain short circuit kind of thing. Thanks in advance for any advice.

I 86ed those custom Nav controls. Looks like they brought back SlimPie so I didn't want to chance messing that up with those custom ones. Enjoy

I'm on the 213 nightly version - not the dark version yet. It seems to want to eat battery for some reason. I'll give it a bit to see if it my imagination.
I noticed NFC is ON. I've tried turning it off and it comes back on. It is showing up as a battery user. I tried freezing it and it still shows checked. I don't know if this is an issue, or an oddity that means little.
