HI there - Does the persistent / voice version only work on the native launcher as well?  It works for me as I use stock apps.  But with Nova the persistent version only shows the bar and microphone, but you have to hit mic for it to "listen".

 

It all depends on what Gapps you install. This ROM is built with Trebuchet Launcher as default not Launcher 3 since most gapps already include Google Home and it will delete Launcher 3 or Trebuchet and use that as the only choice. Haven't really messed around with Launcher 3 to see if that link up is on it.

I see you're running the YMCA mod....... did that come with the pool schedule and lunch room menu, or did you have to mod that in?

I've been running Carbon. Still on 4.3.1 though. There is an official kk now but I've been on call for work so I haven't updated. I know who to hit up if the jfltevzw maintainer goes AWOL though!

I see 207 nightly is up, but can't download yet due to server changeover.  Are you updating Carbonite?  Based on which build?   Just curious.

Keep getting "No APN specified on device" I'm assuming that has something to do with the picture messaging not working...? Besides the few bugs I love the darkness of this rom

hmmm, i send  / rec pics all the time on hangouts sms.  did you do a clean install?

Yeah but I hate hang outs and only use the regular texting app. I'll do a screen shot of the message I'm getting.

That message is very persistent and annoying lol. I always wipe my phone thoroughly and install fresh unless I'm running a ROM with nightlies and it's specified that you don't need to etc

Stupid question - what app exactly?  I looked for another texting app and can't find one.

It's called messaging. The default one. Anyone else get a weird bootloader image? The carbon one replaced mine partly. When I boot my phone of goods bonkers and looks like an old TV with no reception.

its weird you asked that because the last carbon build didn't havr messaging, only hangouts and the one I downloaded last night does. Here's a screen shot of what I am running.

we must be running two different builds.  Im running 205 nightly - there is not other messaging app.  And no issues booting or with logos/ animations, etc.

Mine are not based off of any of those build. I see they got 207 up as well. I resynced my source this morning and built it from the same source. Haven't had a chance to see if it will boot. Also with multiple device tree changes I was going to let the weekend pass by before trying it out. Running 86ed right now for the flash support and sure fire radios. Need to get away for a little bit to relax.

As far as having issues with messenger and apns haven't seen any issues on my end using stock MMS that comes with the build. Don't do a whole lot of SMS but when I did no issues. If you are using a alternative app suggest switch to a different MMS app until the latest build is up.
