How come some root apps work and some root apps tell me that I am not rooted? Apps like titanium backup, root explorer, etc, work but apps like freedom and Dsploit and AdAway, don't work?? Another thing is that I can get freedom to work after I reboot, but I have to launch it the second I get to the home screen. And I can't mount system partition R/W in root explorer either.. It seems that it locks itself up with limitations even though I am rooted. Anyone else with this problem???

Sounds like you don't have root or your binaries are old. Some Root explorers will let you view root level files even when not rooted. Rooted with rockmymoto I'm wondering if you are booted into your safe side?

I used jcase's RockMyMoto method. The method where you use the telnet command three times. I have root for sure. I checked using a terminal command. I'm no noon when it comes to rooting and development. Just saying. Lol. I use this app called GameKiller to cheat values in games, and when I launch GameKiller, a message pops up and says I am rooted. Its weird.

OK. Wasn't insinuating anything. I don't care for that method of rooting because of the inherent issues with it so my interaction with it and issues is limited. Have you checked for updated binaries? Because what you describe is how root can act on dated ones.

I can edit system files under the system partition such as Build.prop file. But instead of tapping on the "r/o" to switch it to "r/w", I just go to build.prop, hold down on build.prop and select "edit with text editor", then a message pops up saying "would you like to mount system as read-write then remount it as read-only?", so I hit "OK", then it lets me edit it. I don't know why it just won't let me simply tap on the "r/o" / "r/w" and change it that way.

What version of su is the most recent binary? And should I use SuperSU or regular superuser app?

Weirdest thing. I reinstalled SuperSU, integrated it into the system ROM, rebooted and now I can change from read-only to read-write. But Dsploit still is telling me that I need root access.
