I just wanted an answer... jeez... sorry if I want to know what to do before doing it..

I tried flashing 214 and it didn't work for me... don't feel like doing that again.

.214 was just the Kernel, .215 is an entire leaked update (to my knowledge). Two different install procedures.

working great for me. No dropped connections, real snappy response and just overall working great.

Now awaiting a version of Eclipse that works with this kernel version.

Just shy of 4 hours with moderately heavy usage and playing with the new Chrome and it doesn't seem to be gnawing on the battery too much. Very snappy and responsive and talk to text is a noticeable difference. So far so good. B)

EDIT: And the Mobile Hotspot app (hacked with SQLite) seems much speedier. Connected quicker and pages are loading much faster than before. Tested it on some sites which are notoriously slow loading.

I agree on the Mobile Hotspot thoughts. I am using FoxFi unrooted with this new update, sitting in the same location websites are definitely loading much faster. Not sure if anything has changed, but I've found it noticeable and even noticed it before I read your post. Other than that, I haven't noticed anything new yet. I'll have to wait to see if battery life has changed at all. Any improvements would be nice.

I was already getting over 24 hours on a charge. Doesn't seem to be dropping too much ... and I am on Hotspot now LOL

I know other people were having this error, did it ever get figured out?

I tried that... same thing... but that was directly after the first error... do you mean rebooting, powering down, and then updating the zip?

Just re-flash the update. After it fails just go try to reflash it again. Don't even turn off your phone in-between. If that doesn't work, try restarting the phone and re-entering recovery. If it doesn't work again I would say RSD back to .211. Mine worked fine on a fresh .211 a bit ago.

Did you fast boot or RSD back to stock? You need to be 100% stock to do this. Switching to non safe and uninstalling SS / unrooting won't cut it.

Battery isn't as good but then again, I just installed it so I can't give a good result on that. It has been off the charger for 3 hours and its down to 70%. Ill give it another charger tonight and see what happens.
Phone itself does seem snappier but then again so did all the times I did a factory reset.
I might do a factory reset in a few days just to see how this install is.

No I didn't... I unfroze everything, enabled everything, unrooted with voodoo and then tried to flash... I was told earlier in this thread that should work great (Im on .211)

I actually started getting really good battery life, 15 hours with moderate usage. Wasn't because of 214 though, I just installed 215 like 10 minutes ago and will report back with my findings tomorrow.

So I had to attend a birthday party today and I was taking pictures and using the phone and playing games when I was bored so that's kind of heavy usage for me and I am not below 75%. Been unplugged since 12pm EDT.

Anybody else getting any decent usage out of the update?

I'm on .215 now. I was on .214 and used Matt's 1.8 utility to get back to .211. From there, I reset up my phone and restored most of my apps. Next I rerooted with Matt's 1.8 utility. I keep getting "waiting on device," until I finally rebooted my computer. From there, I installed the .215 upgrade. I won't know about battery usage until tomorrow because I recharge my better every night using my HD dock.
