All I have is my tablet at the moment. Can I just flash to eclipse which is .211 based then flash this? I tried and it didn't work. Either it was a bad download or maybe rename it as update.zip?

No, you need to be stock 6.16.211 to apply the update. Simplest way is to use Matt's utility 1.8.1 to go back to stock, then copy .zip file from OP to external sdcard, boot into stock recovery, and apply update.

So the 3g service is better? I've had too many drops on the .214 update and even the .211 before that... Ever since upgrading from gb the signal has been garbage...

This is what I am waiting to see. For me 3g has been unusable on every build after 209 so I am sticking with that until I read otherwise.

So, can I fastboot back to 211, install this, then install safestrap again, toggle safe, and then flash the rom of my choice ? (i'm running black widow ics). Or do I have to wait for roms to be updated to 215?

Ok so Im going to attempt this at some point.. just want to get the basics straight...Im currently rooted on .211

I plan to

-unfreeze any bloatware
-enable any system apps I have disabled
-unroot using Voodoo
-flash .215
-reroot using voodoo

If Im missing anything or any of my steps are unnecessary please let me know. Im decent at all this but by no means an expert. Thanks in advance

Anyone else getting the occasional home screen close error after a reboot? Just installed the new leak and it's done it two or three times in maybe five reboots.

Here is what I've done. Partially because I was curious and partially because I'm lazy.
Status: SS installed switched to safe and running iKream v2 with 214

1.copied the downgrade from 214 to 211 and the ugprade from 211 to 215 on the SD
2. Rebooted into recover and flashed 214 to 211 and right away 211 to 215.
No error and no glitch. Everything went smooth.
Rebooted and what I noticed:
a. SS menu gone
b. iKream started perfectly without any FC
c. Chrome not on the phone
d. From phone statuss:
- sys version 214
-Kernel 11 July 2012
-Build June 14th
e.didn't lose the root
What I did after:
1. Installed SS again and enabled
2. The phone restarted into safe side (so only the menu has been lost)
3. Switched to unsafe to see if it recovers well -> went perfect
4.switched back to safe side and restored perfect

I have no idea what I've done but I reported here.

I would try to clear cache from recovery and see if it helps. Mines been smooth as butta.

I don't know about going from 214 to 211 to 215, but I know I couldn't flash from 211 to 214 with safestrap installed. I had to restore the preinstall folder before it would flash without erroring out.
Edited so I sound like less of an a__hole....

Stop quoting your own posts and just flash it already jtc. Yes that will work great. If you f it up you can use Matt's utility to get back to stock ICS

I just wanted an answer... jeez... sorry if I want to know what to do before doing it..

I tried flashing 214 and it didn't work for me... don't feel like doing that again.
