All I can say is, my phone is working great. I running the 215 update with the latest Eclipse 1.2 ROM. I had to reboot yesterday due to some sluggishness, but my phone was running for 160 hours total before this happened.

Battery life has been pretty good as long as I don't play any games! ;) Otherwise, I can make my phone last for 16 hours and still be at around 30% or so with normal usage (phone calls, texting, some internet searching as needed).

And yes, this is on an OG Razr with the original battery. No conversion to MAXX battery.

You can just use the Droid Razr Utility 1.81

1: Choose option 1. to flash the .211 stock

2: Then, Choose option 6. to flash the .211 boot.img (You will then be on .211 stock)

3: Then you can update using stock recovery to udate to .215

Will doing this wipe all of my data, (apps installed, emails, texts, etc...

Option 1 in 1.81 utility will definitely wipe your data. To be safe export your contacts to ext sd card and then restore via import of the cvs file. If you have synced google mail to your device then contacts should be restored when you set up the phone. Your apps can be retrievable by going to market/play store then choosing "my apps" using the menu/settings button. Backup any data you don't want to lose.

Are you trying to restore to .211 to get to .215?.. if so flashing boot image isn't needed. Option 1 does that. If you are trying to come from .181 or any gb build(or .75,.79,.84,.85) it will not work as matts utils don't flash the new cdt.bin

I am already on .211, but the update to .215 fails with an error 7. I have a feeling I renamed some bloat from '.apk'. to '.bak' but can't seem to find them. Thought I would just restore the original .211 to get the files back, but would rather not wipe everything if there is no DEFINITE benefit. Since most people seem to have differing views of benefit, based on use, I may try it if I don't have to do much work... lol.

I'd like to say there's a benefit, but I flashed this and eclipse and installed cpu sleeper all at the same time. Definitely noticed a legitimate battery increase, but couldn't tell which of those is the main reason (guessing sleeper). I have noticed much more stable 4g tho. My house is right on the fringe and I'm able to connect to 4g and hold on to it better.

I'm curious. Why does the update file say .211 if it's .215?

To save you from reading 89 pages, it's the system you're coming from, not to

Go Back to Complete STOCK, no CWM, or modded files! You can use Matt's Utility 1.81 (Batman) for easy flashing. then place on your sd ext External SD and hold all three physical buttons with the phone off. scroll down in the menu for recovery. that is stock recovery. wipe caches and data twice and select update from external storage. let it do its thing and reboot
Profit

I know this has been mentioned in the discussion but what is messed up when the Android character has the exclamation point from it?

Nothing. Hit both volume buttons at the same time to bring up the recovery menu
