Anyone notice the vibration doesn't get selected when turning volume down? It just goes to a low ring and down one more is silent. But in sound option it lets u select and see the vibration icon.. And when first booted after wiping everything, it would work but some reason it didn't now.. Is there a fix?

Thanks, glad not just me.. I even redownloaded and reflashed still no go. I thought might been a bad install. Guess I'm not sure lol...

Alright I'm kind of confused. I just flashed the .215 update from this OP and it's showing now on my system that I'm on .214? The build dates are different so I have no idea what's going on help me please!

Anyone know what's going on here? I was completely stock via Matts 1.8 utility when I flashed this.

Looks like you did it right unless you did a full fastboot to 215. You have the updated radio and kernel.

I'll add that the op stated you can't install over a custom rom (your screenshot shows a custom rom). Only stock 211.

Your build date is showing you as still being on the .211 kernel.
It looks like your running Ikream 2.0 (which is .214 based) with the .211 kernel.

The build string (the part in the screen shot that ends with .211, .214 or .215) is controlled by the ROM your running, NOT the kernel you have loaded, Look at the BUILD DATE for the KERNEL, June 14th is the .211 kernel.

His kernel and radio are 215. The dates reflect the new build (July 11). The system is something older...

Okay so I was successful in flashing the .215 update and them after I flashed I kream ROM with ikandee theme. Just wanted to make sure I had the new radio and kernel I forgot to look immediately after flashing .215 then I looked after I flashed that ROM and was confused. Thanks guys.

On a side note I don't see any tremendous difference in battery life, but I have noticed more fluidity it terms of scrolling and multitasking

Would you be so kind as to link me to the updated ROM good sir? I'm not sure where R3d is keeping his work? I thought I had his site bookmarked but apparently I was mistaken.
Thanks!

Is there a consensus that Kernel in 215 uses less battery? On 211 Kernel/Android OS seems to use more battery than I'd expect. I never have any apps that even approach the % of battery that Kernel uses.

the reason it varies so much is due to different peoples usages, realistically the only way to a true comparison is to compare there "Idle" battery consumption what to do is to charge the phone up and unplug it BEFORE BED, then when you get up in the morning see where the battery level is (you NEED something that will give you accurate 1% increments), then switch to the other and repeat the same test at the same time. that is really the only way to rule out power hungry apps throwing off the battery life.

Edit: would love to see someone do this and see what the differences are, then if it is truly better then .211 I will go through the fastboot process to install this, but if it ends up like .214 and uses more power then I won't waste my time.

Absolutely agree it's due to different ways the phone is used.
