All I have is my tablet at the moment. Can I just flash to eclipse which is .211 based then flash this? I tried and it didn't work. Either it was a bad download or maybe rename it as update.zip?

No, complete stock 211 is the only way you're installing this. No recovery, no ROM no anything. Unless you want to root first, then backup root with Voodoo OTA Root Keeper, then restore after installing.

4G definitely seems better. My 4G reception used to be spotty at best but now I am sustaining 3 bars of service. I haven't really noticed anything else "new" with the phone.

FXZ means fastboot flash. Flashing back to stock on our phones requires the use of an FXZ file. The FXZ file is also known as fastboot files.

Lol.

It's the type of file extension for the fastboot image. Used to be called sbf.

FXZ is NOT a file extention, it stands for Full XML Zip, which is the new format for dual core Motorola firmware files for devices with Fastboot bootloader support.

These have replaced the old format SBF(Single Binary File) for Motorola firmware files of devices without Fastboot support.

They can be flashed with RSD Lite, like SBF files, but are very different and are an archive of discreet partition images that can also be flashed individually as opposed to a single file composed of code groups and index files for the various partitions that is flashed in one operation.

Its a very important distinction to make and understand how they work and do what they do.

It's actually pretty funny. I ended up figuring out what it was, but spent the whole night looking for the definition of .fxz files -_- Total noob, I know, but gotta start somewhere I suppose.

Just to be perfectly clear ... I am on the .214 leak, and rooted.

Do I need to unroot and defrost frozen apps before I RSD back to .211?

I have RSD Lite 4.9 ... will that work or do I need a newer version? I have Matt's Utility 1.6, 1.7, and 1.8 ...

I just want to make sure before I do it, I like to do it right the first time, saves on having to make "HELP" posts B)

You do not need to unroot as RSD will return everything back to stock. If you do RSD you will need to factory reset afterward. As far as the version of RSD the newest version is 5.7. I would upgrade to the newest version just so you don't have any issues.

I just noticed Matt's 1.8 has RSD 5.7 in it ... thanks!

So I can use the "downgrade package" from the other thread with RSD? Then factory reset afterwards? Seems easy enough. :)

Isn't the easiest way to get back to .211 is to just use Matt's 1.8 utility and choose option 1? If I understand it correctly, it doesn't matter how you are now, this will put you back to stock .211 right?
