some one want to post a screen shot of what is using what percentage of the battery? cause one complaint i have is that my screen is using 60-70% of the battery when my screen is at a 50% brightness orless and has an on time about 1/8 of the on time for the phone (on .211)

amount of screen on time will cause the percentage to vary wildly, with only 20 minutes screen time over 4.5 days by screen is only 11% of the usage but when I did 10 hours and 40 minutes of screen time to my phone being on for 27 hours 30 minutes it was 77%

I haven't touched my screen brightness it is at the stock location with auto-brightness on.

Here's my results for day 2 of being on .215 Arctic. I went on vacation today so perfect time to test it. I haven't even properly calibrated my battery yet and I'm really impressed with results.

(Note I am on a Maxx)

14 and a half hours on battery. Unplugged around 9:30am and its now midnight with 7% left. Screen on time 4 hours. Here's my usage...

- 3G/4Glte on all day. Never turned off.
- 3 hours total of music.
- Two phone calls about 5 minutes each.
- Some texting.
- Lots and lots of internet browsing and tapatalk (on 3g mostly and 4g for about 30 minutes)
- about an hour of YouTube and Reddit. (On 4glte)
- Then roughly 15 minutes using Wi-Fi hotspots on 4glte for my sisters iPod. Ending the day at 6%.

Incredibly happy (: can't wait to see it after I give it a full charge from 1-100 and calibrate it. Normally I can get a lot longer battery life, but today was extremely heavy usage.

Okay, so ironically after the strange hot phone this morning, i did a cache wipe when i booted the phone back up. I have been on 4g today to see how its going. The battery life has improved, 7 hours on battery with 4g on the whole time. Android OS using %46 and screen on using %29. with %70 battery remaining.

Giving it the rest of the day to see what happens. Things are looking better though.

Your Android OS seems awfully high. Mine hovers around 9 to 12%, with my screen using up the most battery by far. Perhaps you've got a rogue app, or something may not be running correctly on your system. That might explain your battery issues with .215. Have you wiped data or factory reset since installing .215?
If we question our own actions, our thought process, make a conscious decision to what we feel is right every single day, that's what I believe to be Divinity. That's true Shamanism.

Wiped the data but no FDR yet. It does seem high to me as well. I guess i will try that tomorrow and see what happens.

Panda, we'll get you squared away before it's over. Glad to see your battery life is improving some though. I bet a full wipe and fast boot will solve the problems. I would even run it for a couple days without any additional apps downloaded just to see if it was a rogue app running wild.

I am pretty sure that i found the app that killed my battery. I had been using the jelly bean keyboard for the past week. It was the latest app i had downloaded and after disabling it i have much better battery. So a word of advice, do not download the jellybean keyboard app from the market.

IF that wasnt the problem, an FDR and or a fastboot will be my next option

Current battery stats.

%60 battery left, 10 hours on battery. This is looking much more like when i had .211.

That keyboard is getting pulled from the Play Store anyway. Not many people have to worry about it.

OK, time for my stupid question of the week, why is it that to go to .215 you have to go back to stock .211 and flash thru stock recovery, were .214 and .211 can be "jumped" between using ap fastboot and Matt's utility?

Because 215 can only be installed coming from 211.

.214 was just a kernel change whereas .215 is a full system update (I believe thats the reason, anyone correct me if Im wrong)

Well, what's really funny is that there was another 215 that was used to put you back to 211. Not sure why this 215 is different, but these ARE leaks, not official OTAs, so mileage WILL vary.

Anecdotal evidence would suggest LTE has improved B-)

That's impressive, congratulations! I just used Matt's Utility to revert back to .211 -- my reception (both 3G and LTE) was worse with .215 in my office building.

This is probably common knowledge but if you have Google Maps freeze or uninstall it and use Map Quest instead. As good if not better and it will not drain your battery all day either. It only runs when it is open. Google Maps is evil. It will impregnate your wife and kidnap your kids.

I have spotty LTE at my house, but it does look to have improved vs. .211

D/L speed is similar to .211 tests @ 2500-3000 kbps, but U/L speeds have improved dramatically. 211 was in the 1000-1500 kbps range. Now exceeds my D/L @ 3000-6000 kbps :)
