I was on the stock de-odexed rom. Installed over it, then installed the new stock de-odexed .215 rom.

:-)

Here's what I've done and seen.

I've gone from 211 to 214, back to 211 then to 215. I've used voodoo to backup & restore root, but never bothered using temp unroot when applying up/downgrades(so I could still use my reboot toggle to boot straight into recovery). I didn't bother unfreezing any apps that were disabled via built-in feature. All up/downgrades were done in stock recovery, only cache has been wipes, all data/apps/settings retained(211 was installed from bone stock 181-all apps/data/settings were done to 211).

211 & 214 had similar battery life(slightly worse than GB). 214 seemed to have greatly improved battery while in sleep mode, over the weekend I was on 214 & spent most of it working in the yard. On sat something was off with tasker so when wifi connectioning was dropped(big yard-out of range) data didn't turn on & after 16hr with light use I was down 50%. On sun data was switching on like it should & with almost no use I was down to 50% in only about 8hr, I could feel my phone getting hot in pocket as it always does when data is during the times I'd expect to be out of wifi range(maybe 50% of the time). Yesterday i was on 215 but on & off car dock so it was hard to tell how the battery was doing. Today I've tested heavy usage today, mainly catching up on forums & battery life isn't that great(see screen shot), I haven't calibrated 215 yet, but battery seems worse than 211 & 214 for me so far, but not run away app bad.

Data doesn't seem to get dropped on 215 bit does quickly switch between 3g & 4g-something I haven't seen since my second razr-this one is #5.

All 3 builds have broke contact syncing over BT on my car. I get "please wait" forever. If I make a BT call it might show my phone's name instead of please wait but no contacts. I've also seen phone book empty.

211 & 214 both had issue with screwing up apps accessibility settings when going in/out of webtop(lapdock), I haven't tested 215 yet. I also haven't tested if camera is disabled still while docked so you can no longer use things like Skype.

There was something things ICS broke that still don't seem to be corrected but they've slipped my mind at this time.

Oh face unlock is still a joke. I'm not just taking about it actually finding your face but that it takes about 3 tries before it turns the camera on long enough to try before it shuts off on it's own. Notification sounds on all 3 builds also seem to lag behind a few sec & at times don't even play.

I'll probably give Arctic and/or one of the other blur builds(webtop) a try soon.

Has anyone tried webtop with this new build? I am wondering if you can use chrome on webtop now since its now included with this build. or if there has been any improvements to webtop all together.

I haven't tried webtop at all on this build yet but chrome worked fine on 211 & 214 so I don't see any reason it wouldn't anymore.

I have the original RAZR and it lasts on a single charge all day, 17-18 hours. 4G all day, medium level usage (texting, couple calls, 2 email accounts, around 3 hours screen time, about an hour of gaming) only real power saving I use is tweaked backlight settings, and I turn off WiFi when I am not using it, but when WiFi is off 4G is on so that is really not a tweak. Overall I am happy with the battery life. Free with my upgrade before without losing my unlimited data, considering I charge it at night anyway no real need for a MAXX. I am sure these major battery drains can be traced down to runaway apps. You would be suprised what can drain your battery.

please tell me you are on an OG razr, because less then 5 hours and below 50% is just crap (unless your OG), I did a test on Ikream 2.0 but still slacking with the .211 kernel and streaming netflix over wifi and still had 66% battery after 4.5 hours of netflix.

Yeah this is an OG Razr. So although those numbers aren't really good, they're not totally crap for the usage. I've done 6hr straight on screen time on GB & was only down to 50%, similar settings-on wifi, indoors using LUX auto-brightness(for these conditions we're talking -17% to 19%max). I also have BT, GPS, & data automatically turned on/off using docks/apps/connections/etc. as triggers.

So far for me 215 seems to be the worst on battery, but this only the second day & as I mentioned I haven't calibrated battery yet so we'll see how it does after.

Again I am asking enough of reports of things that were said on the 15th. We have handled the members in question and so far things have calmed down. If it makes everyone feel better and there are no objections from those involved in the arguments, I will delete said posts to reduce chances of more issues coming from it.

I am going .215 hands down with battery over .211 and .214. .214 ran a good race, but .215's battery performance is by far better. I do have a Maxx.

How much screen on time? this goes for all who post screen shots, with the right settings My maxx will only use about 1% every 2.5 hrs when the screen is off so 22 hrs really means NOTHING if you don't also have a screenshot of Screen on time, if yours is a Maxx also then I would assume that is somewhere around 3.5-4 hours of screen on time. Not trying to be a winkie or anything about this but depending on usage I can get my phone to go through its battery in a day or if I keep usage to a bare minimum (no 4G less then 2 hours screen time and less then 30 minutes talk time) I can get my maxx to 7.5 DAYS, I mean hell I'm on the .211 kernel still and I'm at 3 days and 10 hours and my battery is at 67% right now (almost zero use, I will fully admit that is VERY little use, 6 minutes in calls 13 minutes screen time, I've had my laptop beside me alot this week)

I've noticed something on this build I don't remember ever having a problem with before. After extended playback of Youtube or other videos, the audio starts losing sync. Has anyone else noticed that?

Fastboot back to .211 using droidrazrutility 1.81 then update via system update, but your assuming that any of these leaked kernels will be releasing as a OTA at all.

Just following up my earlier post on the battery life on 215. Seems about the same as what I was experiencing on 211. Below screenshot shows 60%, gsam says 55%. Display on time on the phone is 1H 47M. Still seems like it is draining much faster than advertised. Should have included that I am using auto settings for screen brightness.

Quick follow up, I called Warranty Support this evening and they agreed with the usage and settings I described that there isn't any reason my battery should be at 30% by 5pm. They are sending a new unit as a replacement. Interestingly they said they do not show any records of customers having battery issues with the Razr Maxx. I'm sure that is their standard line, but with the abundance of posts I've seen on forums about replacements being issued I can't be the first. I've had this phone a week and I've spend pretty much every night trying to figure out a way to extend my battery life. Pretty sad since the main selling point was battery life.
