Come on now folks lets get over this back and forth stuff. Whether ppl are under 18 or adults ENOUGH already. Act like adults or just don't post. I have about enough of reported posts & members as of late. My time is more valuable to me then having to deal with this stuff. So lets all put this garbage behind us and act like human beings or just don't comment.

th fatc is every device is differnt, everyone has there setup different, everyone is in different areas. tha tsaid its highly unliekely we can compare to each other on what we get out of different builds of software. And personally when talking about leaked SW imho its ALL a waste of time. most folks here who have been around for a bit know my feelings about leaked SW which is why I don't come in htese threads much.

Anywhoo for the sake of members, staff, site owners...etc lets just all grow up and get along for more the 24hrs. i'm not here to point fingers at anyone which is why I'm commenting in general. If it continues staff will takes things up and deal wiht it accordingly on a member by member basis.

Yeah, I like this post too. You guys are a little too fair when it comes to dealing with things in my opinion. But that isn't necessarily a bad thing as a whole.

Wasn't this just the downgrade file from .214 to .211

Sent from my DROID RAZR using Xparent ICS Tapatalk 2

No this is an actual update. Not a downgrade.

I just want to re-address this question. How do we know its not the reversion build? Can someone elaborate?

Really?! This thread has 28 pages and multiple screen shots, a new build date on OS and kernel as well as the LTE radio. Safe to say this goes up not down.

I'm far from an expert, but I believe if you were to use the downgrade files your system info would read as .211. The fact that when installing this leak your system info including the build date and the kernel has a date of July the 11th tells me that it is a different and new build.

That was used to flash .214 to .211. This can only be flashed on .211

Okay, im pretty sure that answers my question.

I was simply confused because on two other forums i found info stating that .215 reverted all of the changes made in .214.

Which sort of lines up with i have noted no difference between .215 and .211

Thanks for the responses.

Never mind, I had a old droid razr utility.. I see you can do it pretty easy on 1.8..

I'm a firm believer in "if it ain't broke, don't fix it", and since my phone is running well at the moment, I've been putting off installing this leak. Hence, my question is, do the .211 fastboot files included in Matt's utility, also revert the radios or only the system? Reason being, if for some reason I'm not getting good results from .215 I want to be able to revert to .211 completely, radios included. Thanks.

Thanks so much!

Just ran through this and everything seems to be hunky-dory so far!

Hey Cory,

I have SS installed and I did this exactly yesterday.

Safe Side Disabled (Original System) which was on .211 with .214 kernal.
Open up Matts 1.81 Utility
get phone to AP FASTBOOT
Option 1 to get it back to .211 stock.
when it is finished with Option 1 it asks if you want to hit enter to wipe data or exit utility if not. I just exited the utility to keep the data.
From there I went directly to System Recovery, It didnt come up with a menu, instead it just started applying update, and then came up with a menu
I then applied the 215 zip from external storage and let that finish.
Reboot and everything came up as it was before but on .215

I did use Voodoo to retain root but it failed, so I rerooted with 1.81 utility and then I applied SS v2.0 into my app drawer and replaced the old apk that was in there already. Installed recovery in safestrap and it worked but I also lost my Arctic Rom (that I hardly used because it I didnt like how corp email worked and I just didnt want to set it up like I had the original).

So if you want to keep your safe side ROM, I would back it up first.

From what i read and was told.

Download Matts 1.81 utility, and select option 1.

Hi riggs,

Wondering if you found a way to get to .215 from a .211 system that had safestrap installed in its past without an performing an Option 1 w/Matt's Utility which wipes the phone.

Thanks!
Cory

Option 1 only wipes data if you tell it to. It asks you at the end. You also have the option to close the utility. Data wipe is not needed on this flash.

FB to 211 > root > flash 215 > reboot > install SS > install Arctic > install theme > profit

Does this mean if I'm on stock 211, BUT ROOTED, I could flash 215 through Moto recovery?
