Is the update on your external SD? Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2

I believe it is. When I look at the file location in Astro is it at /mnt/sdcard. Should it be in another location?

Thanks for the help

I'm running Arctic and got over 24 Hours on OG Razr. I've heard great things about Eclipse also.

Though, the ROM itself has little effect on battery life, its more how you use your phone/settings/etc.

You need to be 100% stock, it just won't work otherwise. When certain apps are missing it will not flash correctly, leaving you with force closes. Better to just restore to stock then flash. I wasted a lot of time trying to save my setup. No dice lol

I have flashed 215 but when I go to about phone it still says 211, but the kernal is the same as the 215. Did it update or did I do something wrong?

Should look like the screen in the OP, but did you install a ROM over the update?

No, Eclipse is a .211 ROM (so it will reflect in the software number), so you have the Kernel and LTE from the update, in other words, it was a success.

I'm Running Arctic so mine says .214 with the .215 kernel, also a success.

what about audio files and boot animations? If I changed these do I need to change back before flashing? Or will Matt's 1.8.1 utility revert this back too?

Even those need to be stock or it will fail validation.

July 11 is the proper .215 build date. Looks like it properly updated so you're good :)

I'm a newb and am having trouble at "Flash Update in stock Moto Recovery (Not bootstrap or safestrap)"
Can someone please explain further? I depressed power and both vol controls and clicked recovery, however it just showed an image of the android robot on his back with a red upside-down triangle with an exclamation in the middle of it. What am I doing wrong here?

At that screen push vol+ and vol- at the same time. Then it will let you into recovery.

Thanks! have it updating now. This is my first droid and i've not done anything aside from rooting since I got it. I'm loving android oh-so-much thus far :)

edit: Update was successful, rootkeeper kept my root.

Run Matts 1.8.1 utility. I do know that with the stock firmware that was released, they didn't include webtop and I noticed the same thing. Once I used Matts 1.8 utility to flash everything, webtop 3.0 worked again.
