Noted two things upgrading to 215.
Voodo did not retain root. I deleted the backup su root and then protected root again and it worked without issue. Did not have use The "Money MAN" Matt's Util to reroot phone. Matt gets that title because his work is the $!#7 and he is the go to guy.....
I use a IMAP email for one of my email accounts. On 211 I was getting certificate errors and could not complete setup. On 215, IMAP email setup without a hitch.
Agreed that Matt is the $!#7, and I'm glad IMAP is working smoother now. Seems like this is a great update all around.

hope that helps in the future.
Regarding the battery. Im still amazed by your results here. I am going to give this one more day as it is, do an FDR if no improvement is noted.
If all that doesnt work im almost positive that its the fact that you are running this on Arctic. We will see i suppose.

Before .215, I would be lucky to get 6-7 hours on my OG Razr with moderate usage (texting throughout the day, a few phone calls, playing temple run for about 30 minutes, foxfi for a couple hours or so....) before having to put it on the charger with about 5% left.
After flashing .215, I had the same usage (give or take) yesterday and left my phone off the charger over night just so I could note any difference..after 19 hours, it was still at 52%. I could have never imagined that to be possible before .215. I was looking hard into doing the maxx conversion, but it looks like I won't need to now.
I don't know much about phones, so I couldn't tell you why some OG Razr's aren't doing as good with it, but this update has breathed new life into mine. I'm on stock .215, gonna root and flash eclipse or arctic today.

Its possible that i dont notice the difference because this wasnt a problem for me. And to those who notice, you have some serious battery drain.
%5 in 6-7 hours is pretty bad, i never had battery life this short. GB, .211, or .215.

This is strange to hear all this good feedback on battery life. I have the same or worse, and to clear things up i had no real issues with battery life before.

Well, what are you running? I was running the same exact rom before and after the update. Night and day for me. I'm staying up trying to get it to die. I'm at 25.5 hours and this sucker won't stop. Have the WiFi tether on now to help drain.

I am running .215 stock.
Went from .211 stock unrooted to .215 stock unrooted.
BTW, play some games. Those use alot of battery. And run some benchmarks.
On .211 Antutu would kill my phone very very fast. Dropping %40 battery in less than an hour.

That's not bad at all. I usually drop 2%- 3% per hr.

That's just me though.
Edit... Also, you could try the CPUsleep.apk in the arctic OP.. 1% battery drain in one hour. Crazy standby times.

%2-%3?
Per hour?
Thats 33.3333(endless threes) hours at the least... How is that comparable to %5 left in 6-7 hours? Works out to %16.6 an hour.
I think one of us missed something.

Hmm, maybe try out Arctic, as it is close to stock. That's where the main reason. I never had decent battery life with stock.

Does this require root(CPUsleep)? Or to be running Arctic?
Also, does motocast work on arctic?

Yes I understand what your saying now. In your orig post you had said 5% in 6-7hrs. I assumed you were dropping only 5% "in" 6-7hrs

Wow. Get a hold of yourself and calm down. I believe you are having problems. Mileage may vary and it usually does for people. But, for those of us that have applied it and seen improvements, why do you feel you have to tell us we're wrong?
I can say this. I have seen battery life improvement with this build, period. But, just like I believe you haven't seen improvements, then why can't you believe those of us that HAVE seen the improvements?
I think you need to settle down and going off and saying we don't have sex is getting to the point of being childish. This thread was already locked once due to the bickering between posters and you. Are you trying to get it locked again?
You've stated your opinion, let it go. Is it really that important to you?
I would like to ask that no more reports about the drama on the past few pages be made. We have contacted the parties involved and things have settled down. There are people watching the thread to make sure any new childish actions are taken care of promptly. Sorry to anyone coming here for info on the topic at hand had to read through all that. In any case, as you were and again keep it civil please. Happy chatting.

I dropped it a while ago.
As of right now i am still testing this build and cross examining my results with others. Am i in the wrong here?

I agree with you on just about everything. The placebo, being my underlying point in the first post i made.
I feel while yes, there are some that are seeing improvements in some areas. Like battery(giving that a chance to shine today), i see no difference in my 4g signal.
Anybody else not see a change or is this just me?

Hey guys!
I found a 42.0MB update with version number 6.16.215 for the Droid Razr/Razr Maxx.
THIS WILL ONLY INSTALL OVER STOCK 211, IT WILL NOT INSTALL OVER ANY ROM.
Mediafire Mirror uploaded by spc_hicks09:
Instructions:
Fastboot or RSD back to stock .211
Root .211 with whatever method you choose
Download and Install Voodoo OTA Root Keeper
Backup Root
Temp unroot
Flash Update in stock Moto Recovery (Not bootstrap or safestrap)
Restore root with Voodoo OTA Root Keeper
PROFIT
FXZ IS POSSIBLE!!!! You can flash back to 6.16.211. Credit to iDroidGuy for testing it and for the screenshot below.
Rooting can be possible using the method included in the Droid Razr Utility version 1.8.
--Sam
Anyone mind assisting me here? The most I've ever done was used the utility to root, and then wipe cache (x2), and then apply update from card. I am very clueless as to what the highlighted areas area. Not sure what OTA Root Keeper is, but if it pertains to keeping root after the flash, I don't care for that. What does "backup root" and "temp unroot" mean? Clueless. Sorry for nubness.
Also, I'm on stock .211
