Upgrade went smoothly, didn't want to wait for the 1.81 Utility to finish downloading so I used 1.7 without any problems rooting or anything. Right off the bat 4G is working in the 2 areas of the house that I could only get 3G before. Pretty nice!

If you want a great ROM with even better battery life try out Liquid 1.5 which can be found in the ROM section of Rootzwiki. It is CM9 based and if you have tried a Liquid ROM in the past I don't need to tell you how awesome they are.

I guess my question is answered. I did not see your post.

Hi all, will Matts 1.7 utility get you back to stock, .211, via option 1? The reason that ask, is because my connection is very slow, (A blazing 20KB/Sec!) and I wanted to get my phone back to stock and flash .215 via recovery. Any insight would be greatly appreciated!

I am also downloading the 1.8 utility. just having a hard time waiting 17 hours almost for it to finish

Thanks,

Mike

Yep. Or you can use a quicker alternative and use RSD Lite and the 211 firmware files

Did you end up using option 1 and go right in to recovery to flash .215?

Thanks

18.5 hours on my Maxx. Today. Battery 100% to 68%.
Axiom ICS ROM on the safe side.

If you use Matt's utility -

do you need to have any files on the SD card or anything like that? or does the Utility take care of all things like that?

I'm already on 215 and may use it to downgrade back to stock 211.

If you just want to downgrade to 211 then you can use the utility alone. But going back to 215 would require you to have the file again

I would like to ask that no more reports about the drama on the past few pages be made. We have contacted the parties involved and things have settled down. There are people watching the thread to make sure any new childish actions are taken care of promptly. Sorry to anyone coming here for info on the topic at hand had to read through all that. In any case, as you were and again keep it civil please. Happy chatting.

Haha ya know, I used to think something like that would have been done only by kids. Then my wife started cleaning houses for people moving out and she saw more master bedrooms with nasty crap like boogers on the walls than in kids rooms.

Signal is better for me. I also noticed that Moto removed the CRT screen off animation, Hmm I kinda liked that. Moto!

In the developer options it only works for me if i have the animation settings 1x or more.

Hope that helps.

Right now i am running .211 with the .214 kernal update for battery life. I live in a 3g ONLY area, the nearest 4g area to me is over 30 mi and i dont plan on even entering a 4g area for atleast a month or more. What i would like to know is, is there any point in me doing the .215 update or should i just wait to see what comes next / verizon might push in the next few weeks?

Thanks, that`s what it was. Lol, I changed it to .5x as soon as it first booted, so I never even noticed that it worked at the begining. Well then, as the saying goes. You learn something new everyday. BTW, I`ve read through all the posts, and saw the chatter. I really do hope you give this place and it`s people a chance. It really is the best forum I`ve been a part of. I`ve been a member of various forums since the flip phone hacking days, lol.

Hey guys, is there a way to know if your phone is charging when it is believed to be screwed up? I have heard horror stories about that. Long story short I was running 214 tryied down grading to 211 to hopefully run 215. The only place I can get to is fastbood and recovery. i also have 6 hours to go until utility 1.8 is downloaded. is there anything I can do? At least to keep my battery charged until I can fix this. Any ideas. there seems to be nothing on phone but what is on my sdcard.

Thanks in advance,
