@StealthPanda, I tried to help you, then all you did was insult all of us? Maybe 215 isn't the OS for you, and DR.com isn't the forum for you either. All I can tell you is if you come here with a humble and respectful attitude, this is one of the MOST helpful forums on the ndt, and I'm apart of nearly all of them. Yet this is the first and only one I've ever donated to, because of the quality of people here.

I'm sorry your experience has been less than pleasant and you feel slighted. I'm not sure what all was said, because the thread was cleaned up before I got here, but I do think you've misjudged the forum as a whole.

That being said, that's the last I will personally say to you about it.

There must be clarity i suppose.

There have been some in this thread that have posted helpful things and actually went along with my posts initially. But there were many who did not go about this the right way. And i felt slighted yes. Until i see the ridiculous non helpful insulting posts come to an end i cant put my faith in this site as you do.

Did you try rooting with Matt's 1.81 utility? Make sure you install the latest Motorola drivers that are included.

Yes i tried, i have the up to date drivers. i think it may be the USB cable infact. I ordered a new one to see if that helps.

to R3Ds, i never had my phone rooted, even on GB. The device would not be detected on any utility. In any mode whatsoever. Its something more hardware related.

Also, i flashed this just prior to learning that this is likely the D4 build being tested. As i said, there is no user error. I am very capable of these things. Its actually very very easy stuff to do. I have still, not tried to go back to .211. Until i have a problem doing so i havent asked for help thank you.

That would make you happy wouldnt it. Laughable.

I am going to give this a shot now, just going to wipe and start fresh, I am OCD about these things. I have been running diagnostics on this OG RAZR ever since I got it a month ago and will be able to tell if there is a difference right off the bat. TBH going form GB to ICS .211 - .214 there was not much of a difference until I used 3rd party ROMS, and after tweaking I can get a day easy without charging. But I also calibrate the battery after every flash and use a lot of tweaks.

Will post my results but not expecting much change either way. 4G will be interesting though, I have a 4G dead zone in my house, it without fail defaults to 3G regardless of what I have run so far.

Sorry, guess I misunderstood you; only tried to help.

I'll try not to make that mistake again, I'll be sure to carefully read prev comments to make sure I am following the context properly.

Good luck w/getting past your issues, a less than full working smartphone is no fun at all!

You were spot-on with your comment. I rebooted into recovery(with cable removed) and now have .215 installed.

I wasn't being sarcastic. I think I confused you with my comments. I had tried pulling the cable AFTER I was stuck at the M logo.. Once I rebooted and did what you told me to do(pull charge cable) that completely resolved the issue for me. Thanks!

Other than the LTE radio update, it looks like there's a Chrome.apk and some files to go with it.

Looks like camera and GPS update(in the HW section) of some sort in the package as well.

A lot of other small patches too. Some for Bluetooth, really hoping that fixes my BT connection randomly dropping issues.

Interesting. Says it's updating 136 applications.

I didn't try 214 but 215 for sure is giving me better battery life and the phone is running much cooler. I haven't been in a 4g area yet so I can't comment on that part. I run Apex launcher and haven't noticed any difference in performance over stock 211. I am happy I went to 215 for the battery life and cooler phone.

I was on 214. Reset everything and flashed 215. Battery life drained way faster and ph ran hotter. Not in a 4g area do don't about data. Went back to 214.

It's only been a day but battery life does not seem better. Need several days at work to tell for sure though.

.215 was profit for me. Better 4G to 3G switching. Battery at least as good. Thanks!

TrueBlue:

wouldn't be the 1st time I was confused - won't be the last, what I said about that was spot on also,

one needs to see things in context (talking to myself) , & I need to keep that in mind… (got bitten by confusion bug in that manner too much, we all too often make the same mistakes, until we finally get it…

hopefully this scenario will serve to cement the context lesson for me

glad things worked out for you, I HATE when I'm faced w/a trip to the brickyard… ;-) & since this place has pulled my buns out of the fire, I'm glad to help when I can…

here's to your continued success w/Razr-oriented entertainments… let everyone know how 215 goes for you! Enquiring minds want to know… :-)

Loaded up 215 and very happy. I read thru and didnt see this mentioned but for anyone who (like me) had poor 3g on previous builds, all is good now. 3g was horrible for me on 210-214 so i was sticking w 209 but 215 is worth it.

I would like to ask that no more reports about the drama on the past few pages be made. We have contacted the parties involved and things have settled down. There are people watching the thread to make sure any new childish actions are taken care of promptly. Sorry to anyone coming here for info on the topic at hand had to read through all that. In any case, as you were and again keep it civil please. Happy chatting.

Upgrade went smoothly, didn't want to wait for the 1.81 Utility to finish downloading so I used 1.7 without any problems rooting or anything. Right off the bat 4G is working in the 2 areas of the house that I could only get 3G before. Pretty nice!

If you want a great ROM with even better battery life try out Liquid 1.5 which can be found in the ROM section of Rootzwiki. It is CM9 based and if you have tried a Liquid ROM in the past I don't need to tell you how awesome they are.

Hi all, will Matts 1.7 utility get you back to stock, .211, via option 1? The reason that ask, is because my connection is very slow, (A blazing 20KB/Sec!) and I wanted to get my phone back to stock and flash .215 via recovery. Any insight would be greatly appreciated!

I am also downloading the 1.8 utility. just having a hard time waiting 17 hours almost for it to finish

Thanks,

Mike
