One thing I've noticed about 6 hours in now is my system settings will not stay, volume settings,vibrate on key press are all resetting after reboot. I updated busy box which didn't help. I will try wiping both cache as well as fix permissions to see if it helps. Otherwise liking this so far

If that doesn't work try a factory reset...I know it's a pain but it solves a lot of problems.

My home button stopped working as well im gonna try the full wipe. Not to big of a pita.

I know this is slightly OT.. but I after updating from .210 to .211 I can no longer get into recovery.. I just tried updating to .215 and It always freezes at the M dual core graphic or whatever. Any Ideas? It will boot normally without any issues.

did you try the 1.8 utility to restore to the OTA .211?

@trueblue, do you have your power cord conneced to your device when attempting to get into recovery?

I learned the hard way & after I forgot once again, pulling the plug fm the top of my droid did the trick; I got a screen w/options for SS in short order.

There's a subtle humor to all of this, especially to anyone that has been involved in product support.

We have a completely standard and uniform hardware configuration, the ability to return the device to original factory software state, yet we see wild variation.

What is the term for that? Hmm, oh yeah, "User Error." :-)

Call me crazy but if I was told by Moto developers that this was for the DROID 4 I wouldn't bother to even attempt flashing this.....
But that is just me. LOL

It may still be too early to tell, but.215 seems to have given me less battery time, postponed LTE going live in my area, and burned my house down. My mom is a developer and she said that .215 was designed by pixies and was actually an xbox upgrade to help with the overheating issues back in 2008. Clearly never meant for the Razr!

In all seriousness, .215 appears to have improved my phone across the board. Thank you to everyone here for making my phone so such a joy to tinker with. You all rock!

There typically isn't a change log for leaks. Read through the thread and see what ppl say what they think and find.

I will only say this once people, keep it civil and back off of the insults towards one another. This is not a school yard playground and I would like to think that we are mature enough to have carry a conversation without acting like children. From what I can tell, this thread has been locked once and is well on its way to being locked again if this continues.

I made no errors, i have yet to actually attempt to go back to .211. So assuming i cant do it is ridiculous. All i said was this device wouldnt root, seems its a problem with the OS on my computer not working with the utilities. No mystery there, and as a matter of fact i never asked for help. Only stated that i may not be able to get back after my fiasco with rooting.

And moto devs are very easy to contact. They are right there on the forums every day. You guys may want to try not hiding in the unofficial relm for two seconds you would realize that. The moto devs are not on these forums. That is for certain.

.215 installed flawlessly. I have no "problems" I do not have any fixes either. That was merely my point.

To not argue a point, is to not have any kind of manhood. I will not stop defending myself because you guys feel there is some higher calling on a forum i must follow... Its a ____ing forum. Get over yourselves.

You all think you know everything, thats what makes you children. Good luck knowing everything. I apparently know, all about it. Right?

No need to get people's panties in a bunch just because he said it can be user error, because most of the time, it is. That may not be the case with YOU, but chances are it was user error. No need to flame on this forum because this is the best one for the razr.

@StealthPanda, I tried to help you, then all you did was insult all of us? Maybe 215 isn't the OS for you, and DR.com isn't the forum for you either. All I can tell you is if you come here with a humble and respectful attitude, this is one of the MOST helpful forums on the net, and I'm apart of nearly all of them. Yet this is the first and only one I've ever donated to, because of the quality of people here.

I'm sorry your experience has been less than pleasant and you feel slighted. I'm not sure what all was said, because the thread was cleaned up before I got here, but I do think you've misjudged the forum as a whole.

Did you try rooting with Matt's 1.81 utility? Make sure you install the latest Motorola drivers that are included.

I had $itty battery life on .215 was down to 50% in 3 hours i flashed the .214 kernel and i am much better now.
