I've been playing around with the mobile hotspot on this rom, i've noticed that after a reboot, wait for the 4g to come on, then press start hotspot.... it starts for just a split second then turns off and acts like its going to turn back on. That tells me it is very close to being functional, we just need to find the line of code for the startup and figure out where the ANNOYING "Disable" command is coming into play....

I've looked around with sqleditor and added some of the main "TETHERING" options in and still no luck yet.

 

I'm VERY Determined to get this working... Hope this helps a wee-bit on pointing some other people in the right direction... Maybe porting a fully functional "hotspot" from previous version is my next try. : : : :

I'll gladly test it! BTW if yu didn't have bluetooth tethering fully functional i've been tweaking with it and am able to share my internet from the xt912 to my old xt907

Huh, Wi-Fi hot spot started working for me about two builds ago.

Ed. Looks like it isn't working anymore. What changed? I thought they had implemented a fix.

Here is the new build. Hopefully WiFi tethering is working for everyone now. I've reduced the DPI to give more screen space

For some reason I'm still having no luck getting the tethering to turn on...

No luck here either. Built in connection fails, third party app FoxFi now thinks it starts but no real hotspot is made. Good news is that's better than the previous build where FoxFi just returned an error.

No FC on my end, try wiping dalv. Cache and cache, if all else fails make sure you wipe data, dalv, and cache, then reflash. If that still doesn't work check the md5 sum of the file, perhaps you got a corrupt download.

I did have Wi-Fi after the 12/18 build, not sure when I lost it again. But I need to do a clean flash again to make sure.
