Any ideas as to why I get the dreaded "Android Keyboard" crash? I have tried CM and Gummy and both produce the same. I just tried MoKee and didn't have the keyboard crash.
That being said, one thing that I did not do PRIOR to installing the Aviator firmware was to go into Safestrap and wipe (Wipe > Swipe to Factory Reset <...does a factory reset, wipes data, cache, dalvik - .android_secure) the Stock ROM. On the MoKee, I wiped the Stock ROM just for kicks. Also, the slot I chose to install was SLOT1. Renaming the slot didn't seem to matter.
I have no idea if MoKee is a good rom or not. The write up he did was well explained which is the only reason I tried it after the Aviator challanges I had.

the multi-window feature in MoKee is pretty cool. I couldn't get a data connection (No Service message) on a couple of nightlies and the 1/25 release build so haven't fooled with it too much.

Hi guys!
A bit lost here. I am currently running a December nightly of Aviator Cm11 and want to try Gummy.
1,Can u suggest the "most stable" Gummy nightly to flash.
2.All of this JBX stuff is confusing me. Is it included within the nightly or does one flash that separately?
3,Must I flash the kernel or can I just flash a decent nightly.
My needs are few: Battery life, no dropped calls, 4G stability, wifi, camera basics. I am not a gamer, music person or socialite:-) LOL
Many thanks!

1. Flash the most recent build. Prior build had camera issues.
2. JBX is a separately flashed Kernel.
3. JBX is completely optional.
also, you can't flash Gummy on top of CM11. best to install on a new slot. if you install on your CM11 slot, do a Factory Reset wipe.

Thanks! Actually, was going to try it on Slot 2. If I liked it, I would wipe slot 1 which holds CM11 Aviator.
Thanks for the help and info re JBX. Is it really necessary? Are the benefits so great so so many folks use it?

Love the 1/21 update! Any chance you can make the font bigger? I'm pretty young and you're making me feel old when I have to squint

Cleaning up phone to have a bit extra space. Noticed Safestrap's folder on Internal SDCard (Satestrap/Rom-Slot1) contains 3 zipped files:
cache.img 307,200kb
system.img 715,88 kb
userdata.img 2,048,000 kb WOW!!!
All files appear to be recently updated.
Question: I assume this is Aviator space. All the other goodies on the card are stock related, or is there also aviator storage included in some of the non safestrap folders.
There is only 8 gb of storage on this phone, so I am trying to move whatever I can to my external card without screwing up:-)

Yeah I know, seems like a lot of work for a n00b like me. Was wondering if he could make it an option like he does for other stuff.

its not that hard. Open buildprop editor and chande the value from 182 to 240. There will be a drop down box with different values in them, just highlight 240 and your phone will reboot.Yeah I know, seems like a lot of work for a n00b like me.
