IT'S ALIVE!!!!!!!  IT'S ALIVE!!!!!!

Thank you all for your help.  One final thing, or two, that I've also noticed that would like answered, please?

1)  It takes a little longer than normal (approx 2min) from phone being off completely and powered on until I have 4g signal and everything is up.  Normal?

2)  Every time I pwr my phone up, and I mean every time, it updates my phone, all of my apps, tells me about the OTA Update available, AND also tells me that the processor is not working and prompts to wait (which I always do) or close.  How can I stop this or what did I do???? Anyone experience these issues????

Other than that, if I leave my phone on, everything seems to be working perfectly.  Great job Dev!!!!!!!!

I've noticed #1.

I don't have #2 happening.

On number 2, the processor message almost always comes up. If you wait long enough for the rom to fully boot then I usually dont see it.

As for the other part of number 2, I am noy having that problem with the apps always wanting to update, but we have seen that before. Now if I could only remember what the fix was.....I think it was a cache and dalvik wipe maybe....

That or maybe delete the data for the playstore app in manage apps?

I installed the JX-hybrid, but still no camera. There is an option when installing regarding which camera to use. Which one do we choose?

Did you follow the instructions i posted?

JBX version earlier than 1/13.

The current ones need specific ROM modifications to work with the camera that it looks like only CM11 has right now.

I did, but as usual I got ahead of myself and installed the one you said not to. I'm working on getting an earlier version installed now.
Thanks

Also, those cameras in the Kernel installer will be in addition to the ROM's camera. They are completely optional.

When I try to flash the JBX-Kernel over my Aviator 1-15 ROM using SS 3.11, The following error is displayed in the terminal window:

Installing JBX-Kernel...
Setting up required tools...
Mounting Partitions
file_getprop: failed to stat "/tmp/aroma/install.prop"
E:Error in /sdcard/Download/JBX-Kernel-2.1-Hybrid-4.4_2014-01-13.zip
(Status 7)
Error flashing zip '/sdcard/Download/JBX-Kernel-2.1-Hybrid-4.4_2014-01-13.zip

Am I missing a step?  I noticed that the /tmp/aroma/ directory does not exist - should I have installed something to enable the flashing of a kernel?

I keep getting a small box that pops up stating "No APN specified on device".

I am on latest update but it also happened on the last version.

Advice?

yes sir. This issue happens when you're in a group conversation.

The only solution I found is with a third party texting app. But I do happen to like this app a lot.

It's called textra.

In settings go to mms settings

And type

Please Login or Register to see this Hidden Content

for mmsc

Then type in proxy port 80. Nothing else. Set tetxra as your default app and restart your phone

Hi all, finally back in the groove after being away for a while.

Gonna give this rom a shot on slot 2, since a few of u said it wuld be a good try.

what's all this about JBX kernel?  I am not a pro and wonder if I need to do this when I flash to new slot.

dont want to brick my phone, and would appreciate any tips on what are the best tips to follow.  Oh!  BTW, sitting in slot 1 is Aviaitor Cm10.  i thinks its time to move on, but will keep it in slot 1 until I am sure I'm pleased with this.

Also, do u know if this rom will release more storage space on internal card.   When I first flashed to slot 1 -i had lots of space.  I adding nothing to my phone and yet my storage space is diminishing.  I assume it;s cached processes.  Am i worng.?  ThX!

Found another problem I have experienced 4 times now. The phone freezes on the lock screen and requires a hard reset. Happens randomly.

New question. Do we need to stay away from Update Me? If not where can I get details about using it on the XT912?

Yes, that's JBX specific. Will need an update to Gummy to use the newer versions.

Do you use a Lockscreen App that you have flashed?

Reason...this ROM has a Built-in Lockscreen too...
If both are Activated possible Conflicts causing Locks/Freezes...
Just a thought

I have flashed this newest kernel and still no camera. I'm using SS 3.6X. Do I need to fix permissions or wipe delvic to get this to work?
