Lol gotcha, ZKK007 Said he'd fix it when he finishes the new update and makes sure everything was working good after the tethering patch. Should be soon. :)

Thanks! I asked because I was testing deletions via Tibu on stock, and when I went back to Rom launched Tibu from that side, I saw the deletions in Rom with a line through them. This is why I became concerned. I was surprised that TiBu showed the stock deletions with a line thru them, and when I was about to delete a troublesome app on the rom, it alerted me that there was no backup for the rom app.

Q1: Aviator, got this alert from Tibu: "Su-binary (version 15.com.android settings" might not work on 4.4 rom. They suggested I try SuperSu.
Is this going to cause a screw up because I don't even see Superuser in my app drawer.? However, I often get messages that Superuser is asking for permission. How can I install Supersu, if Superuser is installed on Aviator? Can someone advise the best way to do this, and if it is really necessary. I assume that others have encountered similar alerts in TiBu?

I've found the built-in superuser works fine, though after a fresh flash I have had to restart once or twice to properly register all apps.

As for your backups with TiBu, it stores it's backup data in a specific directory. If you don't change the default, your backups will be identical across all ROM versions.

Just be careful with system apps on different ROM versions.

Yeah, I'm not too sure why SystemUI FC's on boot. It doesn't cause any issues though, just seems as if it needs a quick FC to get started.

I tired Awesomeon and it's not a bad app. Can you make the screen turn off by tilting/putting the phone down?

Also, this ROM has Xposed baked in so you can use any of the xposed modules. This one will give you more reboot options.

Please Login or Register to see this Hidden Content

download link is on the page. I will be including this module in future builds :)

Okay,

No Issues with Performance even if the UI System FC's...It only happens on a Hard Boot or Powered Down than turning back on..

Awesomeon:

You can be Modified to be a Better App its quite Nice not having to Hit the Power Button to Active my Phone...

Now,

So the Phone doesn't Keep activating In a Pocket or Coat you put your phone Top End First not to active...To Turn Off depends on your screen setting to dormant your phone Screen or You can Set-up the phone to shut down with 3 Swipes over the Sensor...

To Active...

Yes, On the Tilting to Activate...I have mine set at 40* since I've own this App...2 years plus...No Issue Interfacing with Other UI System...well I haven't experienced it anyways...

I will try Exposed...Never thought of that one to try

Does anyone know why Safestrap (newer) no longer allows backup to be written to user choice of internal or external card?

Looking for a test backup and only see what appears to be actual Rom Slot1 and Stock in Safestrap folder.  Afraid to move either of those to external folder.  Can I?

Just did one earlier today...Plus I am doing one as I type this memo...saving it to an External SD as you know they are found in TWRP...

Also, If I do forget to do External...When in SD Internal I will long press and move it to the EXT File...

Saved 2 Files to the External Folder...No Issues at all...Well at least not yet..

Hmm..I just tried again and saw no option to save to external.  I had to again save to internal and then moved via UDB (because i am in front of pc:-)  Where was the save to external option.  Oh!  Does nit need to entered manually in the FILENAME slot.  I didn't notice a path availability.  I am really running out of space.  Saw in anothor reading that CM11 (pure) can run via CWm as boot rom.  I have a backup phone to use, so if this stays stable, i may go for it .  LOL

Did u select enable compression?  Which options did u select.  All 5 or just data, and system?

Let see...tried to Print Screen but it wouldn't work...Maybe because I'm into System...

  • Get into Safestrap Recovery
  • Click on Backup
  • This brings you to a Splash Screen in Safestrap
  • Note, Swipe to Backup field
  • Just above the Circled Button you'll see 2 Options
  • Use External SD or Use Internal Storage for Backups
  • You'll see 2 Circular Clear Icons
  • Click on Use External SD
  • Than Back up
  • Goes to your TWRP External SD

Yes, those little Clear Circles are smaller than a Tick On a Bulls  :huh:  :o No way...

As far as Which ones to chose...When I first Downloaded I left everything the same...but this is whats checked...

* System

* Data

* Cache

* Enable Compress

But you have this option to chose where you want to Back up your ROM...

Jeez!  had no idea I had to click Storage: Internal Storage! The only circles visible are in the huge  green/white Swipe to Back up.  I only see see 3 thin black tabs: No Encryption, Refresh Sizes,and Storage Internal Storage (size).    Thanks a million for the tell!!!

No matter how much I trim stock, I can't pick up extra space.  Wonder if I can SS stock, and use the Refresh Sizes option.  Do u think I can reduce the size of the stock rom slot by doing that?

Are these apps that disappeared from both roms apps that you've moved to the sdcard?  If, after installing the apps (on both roms) you moved them to the sdcard, that would explain why the app dissapeared from both roms.  If they aren't moved to sd, they won't be removed from both roms.  As I said, the roms and anything installed on the roms themselves are completely independent of each other.  Also, deleting apps from the stock rom won't make any extra room for your other roms.  The stock rom is in a world of it's own.  Freeing up space on it won't gain you anything when it comes to custom roms.  You'll only gain more free space on the stock rom.  Nothing more.

Well Stock is a good place to start...

Keep in mind when your Delete an App In Stock that is being used in other ROMs/Slots...Titanium will draw a Line thru those Apps...Not a big deal other than you Manually have to flash..Just an FYI

Space...

I do know if your Backing up your ROM's into Internal SD that's huge on Space...Work Emails, Gmails, Yahoo to mention a few takes up Space too...Clean up the Unnecessary Apps...

KB Apps are not your problem...the ones to look for are MB's...those you will see in...

* Settings

* Apps

* All

* Time to Clean up Apps you Do Not Use

Keep in mind...

Apps in Stock take Space just as Apps do in Custom Slots...being the same App in different ROM's takes Space too even tho its the same App...

Each ROM supports their own amount Space with MB's/KB's with Apps in Custom and Stock...

Try this for seeking Space in SD...

Its Called: DiskUsage...

Gives you everything you have in your System telling you what's Using your Space...

Currently I have Stock Slot and 3 Custom ROMs...All are my Daily Drives...Each Week I chose one to be the Road Warrior of the Week...

Also, check your internal SD card for photos. Move them to Ext SD card and you can save quite a bit of space, especially if you're a mobile *rookie* photographer like me :p
