What problems did u have with Tibu?

Binary needed to be Updated and to Update if the issue continued to SuperSu

Worked around it going into My Apps:

  • Reloaded my Apps of choice...gave me a good chance to get rid of Questionable Apps
  • After Flashing My Apps I Backed up with Titanium
  • Everything is working fine...

The only thing I am not sure of is What SuperSu is the Lucky User for this App...Either its:

SuperSu or Superuser Elite...

Would really be great to be able to boot into recovery from Power button.  Its available on CM for quite sometime, and it's a nice feature.  Your thoughts?

Using this App All the Time"

You can Flash an App called;

Quickboot Plus...this gives you 5 choices to chose one of them being...Recovery without using the Power Button...

Works Slick...

Here's another App you can try if you're Not liking to Hit the Power...Its Called Awesomeon...Tilt your phone to Activate...Not even touching the Power Button...

Yeah, I'm not too sure why SystemUI FC's on boot. It doesn't cause any issues though, just seems as if it needs a quick FC to get started.

I tired Awesomeon and it's not a bad app. Can you make the screen turn off by tilting/putting the phone down?

Also, this ROM has Xposed baked in so you can use any of the xposed modules. This one will give you more reboot options.

download link is on the page. I will be including this module in future builds :)

Neither. The built in Superuser is Koush's SU app

This may be the dumbest question that was posed to this group/:

When Safestraping to Rom, and using any file app to view files (Es Explorer, File Mgr,Rrom Toolbox, etc., are the files displayed, all files on the phone, meaning the Rom and Stock, or just the files on the current ROM slot.

The reason I am concerned is that if am in Stock and delete an app, and i have the same app on the Rom side, will data be lost on the Rom side if I delete from the stock side?  Silly, I know, but still want to hear from the experts:-)  Thanks!

As long as you make a backup of each ROM you won't lose data.

Deleting an app on the stock rom has no effect on the custom roms you have installed.  They are completely independent of each other.  However, if you are deleting something from your internal storage or external sd card, it will be gone from the custom roms too.  Internal and external storage are shared between all your roms.

I've never Backed Up...buy it's a good idea to do so if you're currently bouncing from ROM to ROM...but my experience with files they are within the ROM you flash...not always shown in other ROMs

Yeah, if you delete the files straight off the sdcard, you might delete something you shouldn't, but each app installation is linked to the ROM it's installed on. Which also means each app that's installed on more than one ROM is taking up more storage space.

So if you commit to a custom ROM, I would back up any important apps, uninstall anything you don't absolutely need on the stock ROM, then load up your custom ROM with what you really need, restoring data from any sensitive app, like authenticator codes.

Keep in mind, with a manager like SafeStrap, you can control the space allocated to the ROM slot to get more room where you need it.

This has already been discussed in older posts... Pay attention to the file version. OTA UPDATER is still alerting to the old 1.05 update. Not the newest, hence the MD5 INVALID ERROR.

Lol gotcha, ZKK007 Said he'd fix it when he finishes the new update and makes sure everything was working good after the tethering patch. Should be soon. :)

Thanks!  I asked because I was testing deletions via Tibu on stock, and when I went back to Rom launched Tibu from that side, I saw the deletions in Rom with a line through them.  This is why I became concerned.  I was surprised that TiBu showed the stock deletions with a line thru them,  and when I was about to delete a troublesome app on the rom, it alerted me that there was no backup for the rom app.

Q1: Aviator,  got this alert from Tibu:  "Su-binary (version 15.com.android settings" might not work on 4.4 rom. They suggested  I try SuperSu.

Is this going to cause a screw up because I don't even see Superuser in my app drawer.? However, I often get messages that Superuser is asking for permission.  How can I install Supersu, if Superuser is installed on Aviator?  Can someone advise the best way to do this, and if it is really necessary. I assume that others have encountered similar alerts in TiBu ?

Q2: Using SS, is it necessary to bacj up all for options (cache data, system web.  I did all 4 and will move to PC because Rom slot is too small  In future, I will just to data-system, correct?

Q3: In order to increase Aviator slot space, is there any way that I can decrease the storage on stock without having to blow up stock and start again?.

Thanks, and sorry for so many questions.

I'm on the 1228 build, still not getting great reception for internet.  It just quits in some areas, never had that problem before.  Otherwise everything is GREAT.  Any ideas on how to improve that?
