And that's without plugging in?

ON in that the phone was powered on, but only a little over 10.5 hours was screen on time.

oh, alright - i was going to say, talk about battery life haha..

I still need to see what all the craze is about in regards to battery life..I'm thinking maybe I should do a wipe (not crazy about it - but, shouldnt be too bad considering I've only had phone 2 days and havent gone crazy installing apps yet)..

Opinion -
better to stay on .215 and just wipe cache/dalvik/data? OR, use the utility to go back to .211 (be super fresh) and then re-do the upgrade to .215?

Probably doesn't matter - just curious to see what you guys think.thanks!

I am having problems getting the phone rooted again. I am giving my razr to my wife as I found a maxx for myself.

Ran the 1.81, chose option 1 and got the phone back to .211. I rebooted and made sure the phone was not in mass storage mode. Rebooted and tried to root.

Everytime it hangs at waiting for device. What am I doing wrong? I just want the phone rooted for her and not going to be running any roms, so don't need safestrap.

Thanks..

You have to enable USB debugging mode, simply not being in mass storage isn't enough. Also why did you reboot after making sure you weren't in mass storage, the phone needs to be up and running to root, not in recovery or fastboot

Is there a way to resort back to 214 or 211 via zip file off the ext sd card? Im currently on 215 and cant say that I'm thrilled with the battery. I attempted to use the .214 downgraded zip with no luck. Ive been trying to dowlaod the 1.81 utility but keep getting an error, and this is prob due to the fact i'm a cheap as$ and decided to drop my home internet and go with running my computers via phone and foxfi....... sticking it to Big Red with the unlimited data lol....

Perpetually stuck on gingerbread...

1.81 not working over here, coming from bone stock GB .181 (never rooted or altered). Utilities 1.7 and 1.8 didnt work either, was hoping 1.81 would finally do the trick but getting the same result.

Went through option 1 successfully, message said "you are now on stock 6.16.211. Please boot normally by holding power" and I got all excited! I hit power and he phone booted to Moto dual core screen, hung for a minute then went to the Android guy with the spinning sphere in his belly with the progress bar going at the bottom (ICS recovery I believe). When progress bar finished I got the same fu*king error 7 I have got with all the utilities but with an extra "Radio Image Update failed" at the end. Tried this 3 times all with same exact result. Is it possible my LTE hardware is screwed and is causing this error over and over again??

asset failed: motorola .motoflash("/tmp/lte.img")
E: Error in /tmpsideload/package.zip
(Status 7)
Installation aborted
Radio Image Update failed

Hey Matt, have you ever thought about putting a debloat option in your utility? I would love to see this!

I am hosting 1.81 utility for download to help out a little. Unfortunately, my idrive account will only let me set it to download a maximum of 30 times. Let me know when the link is expired and I can set it for another 30 downloads. This ought to help a little. This is the full version of 1.81.

One thing that will work as far as speed...download the fast boot file from torrents. 800 mb file. That's the biggest chunk and someone should upload a zip with the bat files and apks. You then just unzip the fast boot files into the same directory. Torrents are resumable (duh) which is an added bonus and there are a lot of seeds. None really for the utilities though. It worked like a charm for me...

I'm on 214 with a custom ROM on unsafe side of Safestrap. I'm having little problems that seem to follow me no matter what ROM I try to use, always following directions to wipe everything.

If I use this utility to fastboot back to 211 stock will I need to do anything first to get rid of stuff? For example, do I need to go back to safeside stock, uninstall safestrap somehow, then run fastboot, or will it take care of it for me? Do I need to delete any files from my SD or SD-EXT cards? Sorry for being a noob, I just want to go back to clean stock, install safestrap, and load a ROM to see if that fixes my naggy little problem that follows me from ROM to ROM.

PS> Thanks Matt for all your tireless efforts in making this stuff way easier for people like me.

Just fastboot. No need to disable safestrap
