Thanks for the answer. Also, what is a boot image? is it just the kernel file?yes it brings you phone back to "original stock condition" as if never rooted at all

my assumption is its just the kernel option 6 installs the official ota kernel and 7 installs the leaked... (which btw option one installs the offical kernal back on to the phone) i cant give you an exact definition of the boot img... but for the purposes of this utility #1 completely rewrites your phone to 4.0.4 stock unrooted... and 6 and 7 swaps just the kernelsThanks for the answer. Tried other cables and other usb ports. Still no success.
When Windows assigns drive letters to internal and external card as soon as I plug in phone to usb port means I'm dead in the water and shouldn't even attempt to run the bat file, right?

So I did option 1 in the utility, and now it's been stuck on "writing 'system' " for about 20 minutes....is this normal? If not, what do I do?? Thanks for any response.....

It did that to me but I had forgotten to enable USB debuggingIf you get stuck with "waiting for device," reboot your computer. Worked for me.

Why do I need 1.81 over 1.8?
- Well... you don't really but there is a small bugfix. The wiping data at the end of option 1 needed to flash radio.img again for it to work properly. Also, I removed the XML and RSD Lite 5.7 files since they did not work right anyway.
- If you are on 1.8 you don't need 1.81, I included a small patch zip with 2 replacement batch files to fix the flashing radio.img after wiping. Here:

I'm confused by the above...if I have not yet downloaded 1.81 or 1.8 do I need to download both or just one? Does one build on the other or are they independent?
