this looks like it could be good for cf'ersI know. My new theme will probably be for the CF'ers. Probably tweak it every night until it's done

Yeah good call. I saw that last night but went to bed before I remembered to post about it. You should throw up a thread in the Apps forum about it so we can get people to test it and see how good it is.

I'll wait and see how it pans out before I use it. For right now, TiBu Pro is working fine for me. For those that don't want to pay for TiBu, App2Zip might be the way to go.

Phones booting back up now, and it does the spinning android deal like it should, so again, I dunno if it's actually restored, and retains userdata, or what the deal is.
Same thing this time.. I looked at the .xml file and noticed that it's not telling it to erase userdata... all i see is :
<step operation="reboot-bootloader" />
<step operation="erase" partition="cache" />
<step operation="flash" partition="logo.bin"
so I guess it's not meant to wipe userdata?
screw it, i edited the .xml and added <step operation="erase" partition="userdata" />, and it looks like this time it did it. I know I could have just reset it via recovery and wiped data, but I was lazy

Any idea what line to add to get it to wipe the internal SD partition as well? Be nice just to have a completely fresh, out of the box, start.

I'm thinking <step operation="erase" partition="sdcard-ext" /> (though I'm not 100% sure), if it is however you'd want to add under the section that already has the commands to erase userdata and cache

Am I missing something here? I just used RSD to wipe and start fresh, my phone booted up, and everything is still there (apps, data, etc). I'm running RSD again a 2nd time to see if it maybe just didn't take the first time, however I noticed as it's going the only thing I saw as far as wiping data was it wiping the cache, nothing related to userdata at all, so I dunno if it's meant to NOT wipe everything? I know every previous RSD I've used has wiped everything, but *so far* it seems this one isn't, or didn't.

Ok does this mean we might get some BootStrap love now for current roms and themes?!?! Lol

I wouldn't say bootstrap is history, yet. Lol. Safestrap is in case something went wrong and gave you a chance to recover since no fastboot files were available until now. There are stil ppl that rather have one rom installed. Idk, lolNope. I'd say bootstrap is history. We get fastboot with safestrap.

I think that will erase the EXT, which would not be good.I'm thinking <step operation="erase" partition="sdcard-ext" /> (though I'm not 100% sure), if it is however you'd want to add under the section that already has the commands to erase userdata and cache
I have compared to other XML files and found these instead.
<step partition="userdata" operation="erase"/>
<step partition="emstorage" operation="erase"/>
This XML did not have it.
Someone correct me if i'm wrong!
