so I mainly use root for xposed framework, most notably the full screen caller Id and adaway. What does it look like when receiving a call. Also are the icons the same as jellybean? I think those are ugly. LolAlso no free tethering apps seem to work anymore

I am getting an X tomorrow (retail ver) and I would like to block the 4.4 update (for now) and root it. I was assuming it wouldn't come with KK out of box, and wanted to know the safest way to insure not letting the update install (preferably not download). I saw a mention somewhere that someone had it downloaded but cleared (sys) cache to dump it. Also I was hoping to use the entitlement hack on native hotspot once I root. If anyone could link to fxz files so I can get on the camera fix update I would appreciate. Than ks in advance for any assistance.

if you are just getting it I would assume it already has camera update. Root using ROCKMYMOTO and freeze Motorola OTA app. Then you will not be prompted to download or install 4.4I am getting an X tomorrow (retail ver) and I would like to block the 4.4 update (for now) and root it. Moto forums are always filled with a$$hats that have no clue. 99% of issues are either nit picking, user error or app related and nothing to do with the system.
Then you have the occasional - " I lost root with this update and can't seem to get it back...."
I have had absolutely no problems..... well except my head up my butt and leaving the usb cable plugged in during the update, but here again - user error.......
