You are fine some times rsd does that but ur booted disconnect cable and move on. When I did it it didn't remove my apps either but I was no longer rooted. And had to reapply root. Super user app was still there

+1. Used to have the reboot happen like that all the time on my OG Droid. You are good to go man just like TMC said.

It won't remove the data. You'd have to wipe that yourself. I always wipe data after fastbooting to get "actual stock"

I gotta say, it's nice to see the things I do because it makes me feel more comfortable get confirmed by the experts. Lol Helps me realize I am doing things right.

Anytime you fastboot back to stock always do a factory data reset. If your going to the new leak use the full rsd light method and reboot. Then boor into recovery and wipe. Then take the 748 ota after that root with zerg. Use rootkeeper to backup root, temp unroot then flash in stock recovery to the new leak. Restore root and boom your good.

aha i feel like such a noob but what you just said is foreign language to me. i feel like its really helpful i just dont understand :(

edit: what are you referring to when you say "the new leak"

Moto fastboot command is not recognized. Did everything to a T.

RSD Lite did not whack everything. Did a factory reset and its still not right. Its like all data (specifically user app data) is not fully whacked. Any ideas anyone?

Figured fastboot would set me free but it is not freeing me just yet lmao.

You have to manually wipe with a fastboot. Before or after? Internal only!! Fastboot restores as is.

Nah I mean when I type in the fast bootboot command in a dos prompt, it does not recognize the command. Weird.

Hi to all. But this procedure is standard for XT912 and also for european XT910 or only for XT912 ?

Thanks for reply.

The files are different but the procedure is the same.

Thanks for the writeup! I'm still learning about droids/bricking etc. I had to make my own "motorola factory reset cable" because my razr's battery ran low while trying to unbrick. Now when I try to program after selecting fastboot my phone says "AP Fastboot Flash Mode (S) 0A.06 Device is LOCKED. Status Code: 0 Battery OK OK to program Connect USB data cable Command prompt says C:user/user1/desktop/razr1> moto-fastboot.exe flash system system.img <WAITING device for>it has been like that for over an hour with no progress. Is that normal or is using the modded cable a bad idea? I'd like to avoid doing a factory reset and losing everything (I used Titanium Backup app) Thanks in advance and pardon my inexperience!

Edit: after reading deeper into this procedure I noticed a factory reset is necessary regardless. So I'm definitely doin something wrong or I'm impatient :P

If you're using RSD... Why are you seeing the command prompt? Second, if the phone is in AP Fastboot connected to the computer you should get a message letting you know that the USB is connected, not asking you to connect. Bad drivers/cable are usually the cause.

I was really hoping this would work, but my battery is low and I get a message: sending 'system' <262144 KB> ... FAILED <remote: Battery Low>.

My battery does not seem to be charging and I am stuck in the AP Fastboot Flash mode. The screen is showing (Boot Failure), Device Locked, Battery Low and Cannot Program.

Please help.

sorry bud. unfortunately there is nothing you can do unless you have a Factory data cable, the charger cable that comes with the phone won't charge while in fastboot and you can't program on dead battery. and with battery being enclosed, and the programming cable not being sold anymore, your stuck with a bricked phone... Verizon to get a new phone! unless your fortunate enough to know someone with the team black hat cable or are skilled enough to make your own. sorry for the no good news....

On another note, has anyone flashed the fast boot files on the razr maxx? If so does it work? I would assume so as I think the only difference is the battery.Sent from my DROID RAZR using Tapatalk

Lame. Hopefully they'll get more. I've also heard of some making a factory cable from a normal USB cable. Something about the wiring being slightly different.

yup, it is possible to make, pretty ez if you can solder, there is a readme on how to make one somewhere in reference to the team black hat site. just taking pin1 and splicing it in with pin4 on macro B.. since they don't have all 4 being used... just find the readme if you wanna try making one. but if you mess up you can do damage to both your pc and phone..
