I think he was saying that he had no issues with the install. I did the same and had no issues with the install.

As for the battery issue; try rebooting, after all else is complete.

Ok, this kernel definitely has a sticking issue. I'm on.211 stock ROM with.214 kernel. It hangs at 1200 most of the time. At 600 sometimes. The only fix is temporary, to reboot.
My theory is that it was doing this on.211 kernel too though. Its why i think our phones were overheating and draining the battery.

According to CPU Spy, my phone has spent only 13% @ 1200 since updating this morning.

So .214 is just a kernel update and i don't have to go through all the fastbooting BS and can just flash the .214 kernel?

the easy way is to download the utility, fastboot, and press option 3..takes all of, what? 1 minute?

Lol easy? I got a message on gtalk around lunch. I downloaded to phone, thawed the Verizon rapeware, moved zip from internal sd to external, booted into recovery and flashed zip on my lunch break. By the time i was back on the clock, i was streaming music to my Bluetooth headset. System is on .214.

How hard is it to flash the kernel in AP Fastboot mode????

After another fresh recharge I`m only down 4% from full after 2 hrs. Nothing peculiar going on here. I`m on Eclipse 1.1 with 214 kernel.

Maybe he did and doesn't know it seeing as some people are confused on the build number and date

I downloaded both files to my sdcard and kept flashing the wrong file so it looked like everything was flashing but then i would look at the build date and it didnt change. When I realized which file was the right one it flashed fine and the build date changed. Felt like a dumbass for a minute but i guess that's what i guess for messing with my phone at work lol. Nice work Matt!
