Been running InteractiveX since yesterday I think. I've noticed a dramatic improvement in battery life. Just got home 20 minutes ago and flashed the new kernel, so we'll see how it goes.

Wanted to thank Matt for his awesome work since it literally took 1 minute to do it.

I`ve been ping ponging back and forth between interactivex with noop vs hotplugX with sio for a couple days now. Trying to find the sweet spot in battery and performance.

Not sure what went wrong, but this bricked my phone. I have typically been able to unbrick by either RSD or Matt tools, but this was the mother of all bricks. Somehow updated my kernal but not all the other pieces. This kept it from being able to go back to any other rom. Luckily all Motorolas are under 1 year warranty and they only came out in November of 2011. SO Verizon already shipped me a new one.

I'm sure you know that's warranty fraud.

I flashed the new kernel using the little utility. I am still showing .211 for the kernel but the build date is june 29th. Is this correct or did I miss something?

Your kernel version should have a date of Jun 29th - that means it took

duh, yes, kernel version is what I meant. I am just curious as to why it still says .211 for the system version

You have to edit that one in your build prop editor. Rom toolbox can do that just fine. Just have to search a little for the files to edit :-)

Im getting horrible battery life on 214 compared to 211. What is everyone using to switch their governors and which one is working the best?

I know exactly how you feel, I'm getting the same results. I'm trying "interactiveX" for the governor and i'm using SetCPU the paid version. Today will be my test of interactiveX to see how it does, if I get more than 6 hours with light usage I'll be happy.

Because using the utility only upgrades the kernel. If you want them to both read .214 you have to install the entire ota file through recovery...

Be sure to post your results man. Will give it a shot, too.

Can you install free setcpu and look at your CPU's frequency? I had your results also and found out this kernel was sticking at 1200! Thus draining my battery.

I used CPU Spy to view which states mine was in, and it was changing correctly. I also used SetCPU to set my phone to Hotplug and Noop as many users have indicated works well.

How did you get sio? My only scheduler options are noop, deadline, and cfq. I flashed the the two zips from XDA to get the interactiveX governor, but my scheduler still doesn't show sio. Not that I know what the difference is in the schedulers, anyway, LOL.

I fastbooted back to .211 and did the full upgrade to .214, then rerooted and installed Simplex 1.0.1 over it. I'm using setCPU and have the governor set to InteractiveX with the noop scheduler. I didn't alter anything else, and my phone shows over the last six hours, it has spent 94.5% at 300mhz, around 4% at 1200, and the rest in between, so I'm not having the issue of getting "stuck" at 1200.

I'm curious if the people that are getting stuck did the full install from a stock .211, or if they used the utility to just flash the kernel, which could possibly be leaving out some small, seeming insignificant file. Not even a theory, more of a curiosity.

I actually think Hicks hit the nail on the head. Yes, the .214 kernal is a little faster, and works well in idle. However when you use it, you can see the juice drop. I've been back and forth on these a couple of times using the Ikream Rom and Ikandee theme. I think the .211 has the best overall performance. These were my settings for both kernals.

Again, this is just my opinion, your mileage may carry. I think I'll just stick to .211.........for now anyway :-)
