9 hrs on battery and just dropped to 60%. Much improved over 181 and 211

Did you flash the whole file in motor recovery? Or fast boot the kernel?
Can some people post how there doing with battery life and which way they used to get the kernal. I fastbooted the kernel and I'm at 42% battery after 10.5 hours.

That sure was easy, downloaded the latest utility from the second link in the OP, 2 minutes later i'm on the 214 kernel! Thanks Matt!

if I am already on .211 can I just flash the .zip in Download 1 and avoid the downgrade to .181 & reset and all the other steps? that seems the easiest solution!!

I have read through this entire thread and maybe I'm just not understanding anything today, but I'm wondering this too. I have been on Stock .211 since it was released and I'm only rooted. Looking to get a different ROM and saw this one and want to try it. I'm running safestrap as well. But mainly stock and rooted. What's the best method for guys like me? Just install Arctic .214 on the safeside then flash the Boot.img from the OP? Thanks!

@Pappasmurf: Just put the .214 on your sd card and use MotoRecovery. Its goes really quick, but you may have to re-root with the 1.7 utility for 4.0.4...

Look at the kernel info, not the build date. See if it's June 29.

Updated to .214 yesterday from stock .211, used MotoRecovery. Battery was draining a little fast, but wiped cache this morning and really looks like battery is better now than on .211.

Then took the plunge and rooted using Matts 1.7 Utility, and just humming along great now....THANKS MATT....

Might have to look into the Artic ROM now.....
